Very soon, Tang San calmed down and forced a faint smile onto his face. The smile was strained because even such a small action as smiling could bring him intense pain. He had confirmed that he indeed hadn't died. Xiaowu's soul was peacefully sleeping within his soul ring and soul bone. And inside his body, the soul power...
... was a feeling that brought tears and laughter to Tang San; he then realized that the severe pain in his body was all caused by soul power. It wasn't because the soul power was depleted or overdrawn, but because there was simply too much of it inside him. So much so that it completely filled every meridian inside his body, to the point where it couldn't circulate, just like clogged blood vessels. The intense pain he felt was because these meridians were swelled to the brim. The only thing he could be thankful for was that his body hadn't burst under this tremendous pressure, which was a stroke of luck in an otherwise unfortunate situation.
