The woman chuckled and it only annoyed Alix.
"Right, sleeping time, i got it. I am Hua Mei, a watcher from the free people, the ones who refuse to join the bureau of systems or adhere to their rigid laws. I have been tasked with the duty of contacting you and extending an invitation to you to join us."
She came out of the shadows and moved a little closer to Alix, not too close as she maintained an arms length distance and went on with her speech.
"We are not the dark side as the bureau has labeled us, there is nothing dark about our intentions. All we want is to live in a world where all system hosts are free to use their abilities without fear of being hunted down like rabid animals.
