From the wedding dress shop, both women escorted Alix to her house. It took some coaxing, pineapple buns, a cup of milk tea and a two hour nap for Alix to find joy again.
Auntie Mo left when she woke up and Alix started playing the game, occupying herself for hours until Caishen came home and started his exercises.
Alix was not a good swimmer; in fact she didn't know how to swim at all. Since Caishen's rehabilitation now included swimming, she decided to join him at the pool and just chill. It was just the two of them, no kids, no bodyguards, no family, friends or servants and to Alix, it was glorious.
She was lying face up on a green frog float large enough to fit three people. In her usual Alix fashion, the rest of the space was occupied by snacks, one of which she was eating. The snacks she was eating happened to be sweet and savory cookies. She was drinking bubble milk tea through a straw slowly, completely relaxed.
