Alix had hired Jenny, but as Biming stated, the rest of the issues had to be worked out between husband and wife. It's why the two hours between breakfast and lunch were spent updating Jenny on her duties and thinking about questioning her husband on his motives.
He wasn't the only one with someone keeping an eye on their respective spouse, Alix was doing the same, through Biming. The only motive behind her move was to ensure that he stayed healthy and that he was taking care of himself.
This is why when Biming asked her to come to his office and drag him to get something to eat, she didn't turn him down.
Biming brought him downstairs and off they went, to one of Alix's favorite little hidden bistros.
