Even with a deadly monster running their way Alix remained cool and composed. Sweat was trickling down her back as she kept her hand steady on the trigger, taking one shot after another. Each of her shots aimed for the head of the monster, it's most vulnerable body part she realized because it was trying to shield itself.
"Ten seconds until it's right on top of you." Her system warned.
Alix didn't flinch at the warning, she remained focused because that was the key. Out of the blue, the monster stopped and smiled cunningly, rather than engage her physically, it sent a blast of blue fire her way.
Without waiting, both women jumped up and turned to run while protecting themselves in full shields. The monster was faster and more cunning than she anticipated.
"Keep shooting...." Alix shouted.
