Caishen doubted that the apology would hold any sincerity and he knew that his wife would not buy it but she would silently accept it. Whether she displayed her disdain for Rui Ka Kui publicly or not was another matter.
As for comments on the marriage alliance with the Rui's he would reserve the rest of his judgements. It wasn't as if his grandfather would change his mind about it. Besides, it wasn't his marriage anyway.
