It is said, when the moon has reached it's highest point the Goddess Of The Moon, Luna, would pray for it, giving the moon her blessing, so it would make it shimmer in the night sky, like a radiant light in the darkness. That is the way the Valkyrie see it— the reality of it, however, it is much more different than they could imagine.
After the Dragon Army invaded the Hera Galaxy and was defeated by the Goddesses and their Commanders and Valkyrie, they sought a punishment for their defiance. To turn their blades, their weapons against the Goddesses? That is just heresy! As punishment— the traitorous humans were killed, the dragons captured and tortured to death, the Dragon Army was destroyed. After the dragons were finally wiped out, their souls were transferred to the moon as catalysts inside of crystal orbs. Their blood was used as the fuel to power them.
The Valkyrie realized Orbs could be used to read a humans stats, power levels, and abilities so they decided to keep some. Most of them went to the Moon as Dragon Blood Orbs while the rest were kept on the planet and named them Full Moon Orbs. Ever since then— every time a Full Moon arises the magical energy of the dragons souls would make Luna even stronger. The magic particles would fill the night sky like some kind of magic show for the Valkyrie and Commanders. The Valkyrie who didn't have a Commander would pray and make wishes believing it would grant them luck or something in finding true love. It has been this way for a 100 years now— it has become almost like a traditional for them.
"Alright boys not bad, we are done for the day!" said Chad.
Mason, Tony and Penny were finally relieved to relax after all that hard training— they didn't even bother to find places to sit— they all just fell on there backs, laying there and laughing at their success. Chad brings over some energy drinks for them to have, they quickly open the cans and gulp it down like it was their first taste of liquid in weeks. Mason thought to himself, how it has been a while since he worked out like this, he doesn't know if he worked out in this world, but the training wasn't as bad as he thought it would be.
It seems Nirvana is also done training the girls, he could see they are out of breath as well, they receive some energy drinks. After everyone has had the time to cool off and relax, they all go their separate ways for the day. It was in the afternoon by the time they were done training and it was getting late. Camellia tells Mason she has to get going and finish her homework before she gets in trouble tomorrow, Mihara and Cheshire do the same thing. He didn't know that Valkyrie had homework to do, he says his goodbyes to them and let's them go back to their dorms.
Since he does have a bit of extra time before nightfall, he decided to go to the library again and read a few more books before heading home, a little more knowledge wouldn't kill anyone would it? As always he goes to the librarian and requests the specific books he wants. Usually she is just very quiet, doesn't say a word and keeps her face inside of her book, reading it letting people know she doesn't want to be bothered. This time she seemed like she wanted to say something Mason so she closes her book, looks up at Mason.
"Why do you always come here?" said the Librarian.
"To read?"
"Is this your way of flirting with me?"
"Um no. I just came for knowledge."
"Commanders don't read, they just command and send us to our deaths."
"I don't send anyone to die."
"The answer is no. I won't be your Valkyrie."
"Um...Okay?" Mason slowly grabs the books and walks away to a table to sit down and read them. He was confused by what just happened but he let it go and moved on. A few hours went by as he was yawning, he checked the time and realized it was almost midnight. By this time, the Glowing Silkies are asleep, so he doesn't know how he plans to traverse the Moon Forest. He will probably have to spend the night at one of the dorms.
He runs outside and notices a lot of Valkyrie and even some Commanders holding hands, and doing explicit things outside under the moonlight. These little magic lights flickering in different colors filled the sky like a blanket of sparkles, it was quite a beautiful sight to behold. Mason notices a hooded figure standing outside as well, looking up, it was one of his classmates, the one who always has a hood on. As Mason approaches him the hoodie guy begins to speak.
"Why are we here?" said the hoodie guy.
"To become Commanders?" replied Mason.
"No. Why do we exist in this place."
"I don't quite follow."
"My family in Japan are all gone now. Yet here I am, still alive."
"What did you say?"
"I am Japanese, you are from Earth as well."
"How can you tell?"
"Your Mana System. If your Commander name glows green, you are from Earth, a person who was reborn into this world, starting life all over again, if it glows blue you were born here in Elysium."
"Is that what this planet is called?"
"Yes. We are in the Hera Galaxy, Elysium Space on the planet Elysium, this isn't the Milky Way or even Andromeda as I thought it was at first. So tell me where are you from?"
"America, to be specific, California."
"Ah. An American."
"If you are Japanese, how come I can understand you?"
"Because this isn't Earth, we are all speaking the same language here, thought I don't know what this language is called."
"This is pretty crazy I thought I was the only one."
"You and me are the only ones from Earth at this school, Although I assume more people have made it here as well, they are out there, somewhere."
"Hey what is your name? My name is Mason although I can't remember my last name for some reason."
"I am Kai Durano. I also can't remember my last name from Earth, Durano is the name I was born with in this world."
"I mean I can't remember my Earth last name or this one."
"That is strange. Well Mason it has been a pleasure to meet someone like me but I am gonna head back to the dorms and sleep I am tired."
"Well this is gonna sound but can I sleep in your dorm for the night?"
"I am not into guys."
"I didn't mean it like that dude."
"Alright then."
Mason and Kai headed back inside the school and headed towards the dorms, while many Valkyrie and Commanders stayed outside to watch the night sky for a few more hours. The Goddess Luna was outside her balcony, in the highest room, at the tallest tower, absorbing the energy of the Moon into her being.
