Chapter 5 - "What I wanted to do is farming

After completing the toilet, Tanaka retired to his bed and succumbed to sleep, despite the daylight outside. "I don't think it's a good idea to sleep in daytime, but I'm really sleepy," he admitted. Awakening after what seemed like a three-hour nap, he found the sun still high in the sky.

Assessing his present conditions, Tanaka recognized a looming issue: food scarcity. "Right now, I only have the rabbit-like creature meat that I luckily obtained," he pondered, calculating his meager food supply's longevity.

Contemplating the impending night, Tanaka recognized the forest's inherent dangers. "The forest is scary," he acknowledged, especially with hostile creatures like the rabbit with massive fangs lurking about. Determined to prepare for the night, he set out to fortify his shelter.

Crafting a door and surrounding fence, Tanaka aimed to create a secure perimeter. "Now, this place is safe," he hoped, though lingering doubts remained. "It might be safe," he reassured himself, seeking solace in his efforts.

With security ensured, Tanaka turned his attention to farming, driven by an instinctive desire for self-sufficiency. "What I wanted to do is farming," he admitted, setting out to plow a field with fervent enthusiasm. Yet, his enthusiasm waned as he realized his oversight: "There are neither seeds nor seedlings," he lamented, his efforts rendered futile.

Despite the setback, Tanaka's resilient spirit endured. "I had no choice but to start plowing the forest," he resolved, determined to discover edible vegetation amidst the dense foliage. Along the way, he encountered more of the rabbit-like creatures, turning their bodies into sustenance with a mixture of gratitude and reflection.

Finally, with a belly full of rabbit meat, Tanaka embraced the prospect of a restful night's sleep, content with the day's accomplishments despite the challenges that lay ahead.
