Beginning of a new academic year with new books, classrooms, and roommates. Unfortunately, it can also bring about new lies.
This is a place where nobody knows how to lie, and they don't understand the concept of truth either. They believe that what they speak is always right. However, in this place where lying is impossible, there exists a club of Liars who are always one step ahead of everyone else. This story revolves around the college life of people who can't lie and those who can. It emphasizes how lies and truth both have the power to destroy a person.
Brielle White, the brightest student at Norman Academy, was seated in the cafeteria gazing out the window. She noticed the incoming freshmen students and began analyzing them one by one. First, she spotted a confident young man carrying a small suitcase. Brielle noticed that he was wearing a pair of black shoes from one of the most expensive brands. Judging by the way he walked, she concluded that he would likely be one of the popular freshmen, as it was usually the norm. Shortly after, another girl walked in and Brielle analyzed her too. The girl was wearing a hat, and Brielle could tell that she had cut her hair herself, and it probably looked unattractive. To distract from her hair, the girl wore a beautiful dress and an expensive necklace. Brielle continued people-watching until she received a call from her younger brother, who was about to enter the college. She went to the gate to welcome him but saw someone she disliked - sophomore Charlotte Brown, who hung out with boys who were always praising her.
"Annoying as always, right?" Brielle's friend Amelia asked while waiting for her younger brother to arrive. She had a disgusted expression on her face. "The popular and beautiful girl never gets bullied and is always praised. Is she truly annoying, or is it just us who are jealous?"
Brielle sighs and says "No we are jealous, I wish I was at her place, I wish everyone was jealous of me"
"Brielle..." Amelia sighs
"Oh look, that's my Brother"
"Marcus! Over here!"
Brielle started analyzing Marcus when she saw him walking towards her. He appeared to be amazed, but not because of her. Marcus was walking slowly and looking behind him, which was odd because he was known to be the most extroverted and confident guy anyone could ever meet. It took him 49.6 seconds to reach Brielle when it should have taken him only 31.5 seconds.
"Traffic was too much" is the first thing Marcus says as he meets his sister
"Well forget about the traffic, you are a freshman now and also a part of Noman Academy, I am gonna show you where the cafeteria, Library, Pool, etc would be...But first...We need to go to the headmaster's office, and say hi to my friend Amelia"
"Hello"
"Oh my goodness, you look so handsome, you would have girls falling around you, You and Brielle don't look alike at all, why is that?" Amelia says that in one breath, Well its not that she could LIE
Brielle death glares at Amelia as she says that
"Ugh! Sorry, I just couldn't control-"
"fuck you"
"Let's go to the headmaster's office, Brielle?"
"yeah right"
As they go to the office, Marcus turns behind and looks at the gate again...
"What's wrong with you"
"Sorry?"
"Who are you waiting for? you are acting different"
"I saw-"
"Yo Marcus!!" A voice comes from behind
"Your stupid friends, they followed you here again?" Brielle
"Excuse me?" His friend questions her back
"Forget it, Robin!! Let's go to the office!"
Marcus gives her a "Why would you say that glare" and leaves
And Brielle looked at the gate to see who her brother was waiting for...A few people who she didn't find interesting just passed by until suddenly she saw someone come out of an EXPENSIVE car, as she entered the college all eyes were on her...Everybody was mesmerized by how pretty she was, She was going to the headmaster's office while talking on her phone...Brielle noticed her carefully and realized that she was pretending to talk on her phone, so she could avoid staring at people...
"Now that's interesting" Brielle smirks and says it to herself as she sees the girl as an opportunity for something.
All kinds of talks start as she passes by
"She's HOT"
"She is a freshman, you pedo"
"I need to know her"
"Her outfit is so pretty"
"Another lucky person with pretty privilege"
"Why am I a senior"
"Her heals are classy"
"After looking at her I feel like I should move on from Peggy now"
"Bet her attitude is trash"
"I would look better if I was this rich"
"I wish I was a guy"
wait what...
"I wish I had that face"
"She must be the one Marcus was waiting for!" says Brielle
"Her life must be so easy," says Amelia "She would be ordering people and they would obey her, girl is living the queen life"
"I know right? well I have an excellent idea" says Brielle "Let's be friends with her! if you wanna compete with Charlotte, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY"
"But why would she be friends with us if she knows we are gonna use her"
"Well...I have a solution for that...LIE"
"Where are you gonna lie? BED? uh...Brielle that sounds uh wrong?" Amelia says that as she didn't know what Brielle was trying to say
Brielle starts laughing as she knows that nobody knows what her hidden talent is...LIES
