A new emerging company comes forward with the science breakthrough of the century.

"Gravitas" a Chinese company, with the help of the World Government, and Sol Society(Major investor) launch the first Full Dive V.R.M.M.O. game "Age of Stellar Era" or A.S.E. for short.

Within a Month of release the economies of both the United States and Russia respectively fell by half their G.D.P. due to companies signing deals with "Gravitas" to move their headquarters to China for favorable treatment in A.S.E.'s economy ever since both were merged after the first week.

In turn with the major company's of the planet paying taxes, in the first year, China had a reform that would turn its lands into a utopia for its citizens. Ushering in a golden Era for China that was unparalleled in Earth's history.

After two and a half years, Chinese oligarchs began to pressure "Gravitas" into making an expansion, in which only the rich could succeed, hence came A.S.E.'s first and only expansion "Fleet Command". This expansion made most services and recourses needed to rise become locked behind a pay wall of real world currency.

Of course, after most people learned the real quality if this expansion there were protests at every "Gravitas" headquarters in the world. What met these protests was unprecedented silence. It became clear that "Gravitas" had forgotten the people and had had made their choice.

What came of this is a huge gap between the week and the strong, prompting a term to be coined for those who were at the top, "Heroes of the Stellar Era".

Five years later,

December 31st, 2029

Unexpectedly "Gravitas" announces the closure of thier main servers due to having gone bankrupt, it was leaked that the company had tried and failed a week before to influence politics in their favor and lost. The people weren't surprised and few had continued playing till this point in time anyways. It was a tale of greed and power and now the world knew of the folly of this once great company.

But sometimes things aren't the end, but a new beginning. Like turning a page in a book you love to read over again that never gets old.
