"The food is ready in the pantry. Hurry up if you don't want to miss it," Alaric said coldly as he stood up from the bed.
He walked over to the closet, retrieved a t-shirt and shorts, and placed them by the edge of the bed.
"The club lockers are outside; you can get a change of clothes and store your stuff there. I'll lend you my clothes this time."
Raven rejected the idea of feeling indebted to Alaric.
"Don't act all benevolent. You're the one who messed up my uniform," he snapped with a bitter tone.
Raven's words were not entirely unfounded.
Alaric had actually been trying to prevent Gavin and Aiden from seeing Raven in a disheveled state, which could lead to unwelcome speculations.
Alaric didn't want to admit it, but if he hadn't acted quickly, Raven would have undoubtedly caused a scene—as he usually did.
Alaric was about to argue but thought better of it. Raven seemed determined on a path of self-destruction.
