Xavier grunted in pain, his thoughts echoing his frustration. "Fuck, he's holding back," he muttered inwardly, unable to articulate his agony.
"There are five lessons I will teach you today. One, always keep your eyes on your enemy or opponent. No matter what," his mentor declared.
"Your body hasn't been trained, you shouldn't be weak or be trembling. I hate weakling," his mentor's voice dripped with menace.
Without warning, his mentor teleported to Xavier's location and seized him by the collar of his clothes.
'But I'm not trembling,' Xavier retorted mentally, cursing under his breath.
"Look at me," his mentor commanded.
Xavier raised his head to meet his mentor's gaze. "Good. Get up and defend," he ordered before leaving Xavier sprawled on the ground.
Xavier complied, rising to his feet and mentally strategizing his defensive stance.
'Activate Omniscient Gaze,' he commanded internally.
