Walking directly towards his grandpa, who had his arms outstretched to welcome him, Xavier was unexpectedly met with a knock on his head.
"What's that for, grandpa?" he asked, rubbing his head.
"Boy, you've made me proud and disappointed me at the same time," his grandpa said with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.
"I understand, but all I need is a sword. I have no use for anything else. Can you tell me where I can find one?" Xavier inquired.
"I see that my boy is growing up," his grandpa remarked as he patted Xavier on the shoulder, memories of his daughter flooding his mind. Who would have thought she would give birth to Xavier?
"Rest and we move tomorrow. I have a friend who would be willing to give it to you," his grandpa said, his voice tinged with pride.
"Yes, grandpa, I will do so," Xavier replied, smiling and yawning. "I guess it's sleep calling, grandpa."
