Roane
Salty warm tears filled my eyes and covered my cheeks when I finally forced myself awake and out of that f*cking nightmare. It has been so long since I had that dream, why did it come back to haunt me now.
The night my parents were killed, I hadn't even been with them. As a matter of fact I hadn't even known that they were dead until the next day when I had heard my grandmother screaming hysterically.
My grandparents had me in grandfather's study with them as they waited for the report to come from my uncles. Grandmother held me in her arms as she wept and my grandfather kneeled in front of us hugging us both.
I remember that I hadn't been able to cry with them. I understood everything that was going on and listened as Ezra stormed into the office half shifted and snarling.
