Eren
It's been three days and Dylan still hasn't woken up. There was no way that we would have been able to keep this from my uncle since we had to take her to the clinic near the pack house. Even if I would have been able to convince all of those with us that night to keep silent, there was no way to keep Dr. Pavel quiet.
The moment that Dylan shifted, she collapsed to the ground, but her wolf's last words to Dane would be permanently etched in our minds forever. "Help her, please," she both begged and demanded simultaneously.
In the moment, the confusion of what was happening and the fear of seeing her like that made all of my thoughts leave me, but a part of Dane had focused on the dominance he had picked up in her voice and the force of the compulsion he had felt.
I had moved fast enough to catch her body before she had fallen to the ground, but the others had all arrived at the same moment she had shifted and collapsed and I heard Cruz, Noel, and Vit at the same time, but their words were all jumbled together.
"What is going on here?"
"What happened to her?"
"What did you do?"
The feel of Dylan's body in my arms was incredible and frightening and all consuming. She was incredibly curvy and voluptuous and the feel of her skin against mine sent shivers through my entire body.
Everywhere that flesh touched flesh seemed to prickle and send little shocks through me, and even with everything happening I could feel my length hardening.
"Chill the f*ck out," I silently told not just myself, but Dane as well. I could feel the others all behind where I was crouched holding her limp body, but I couldn't let them see her like this.
As wolves we are used to seeing others in all different forms and nudity was one of the things that came with the territory, but I knew that Dylan had been kept away from this for most of her life and a part of me didn't want anyone to see her.
Honestly, I didn't want to see her like this either, I mean I did, I've dreamed of what her body would like and feel like to hold in my arms, but I would never have wished for this.
Knowing how I treated her recently and how much I had hurt her, I knew that she would never want to be this vulnerable with me, like this right now. That's why I really needed to get my d*ck to calm the f*ck down.
Since I had nothing to wrap around her body, I continued to hold her against my chest with my arms braced around her shoulders and underneath her thighs. Her head was leaning against my shoulder, but her face looked slack.
I had seen her eyes close the moment that she had shifted, and the tears were still stuck in her lashes. I wanted to wipe them away, to kiss her face and see if she was as soft as she looked.
But with the others behind me, I knew that I had to quickly explain what happened and make a decision about what to do with her.
Crouching on the ground the way that I was, it was hard to try to maneuver my body and keep hers from being exposed to the others, so I called back over my shoulder, "does anyone have something to cover her with?"
At my words, I heard soft grumbles and mummers, but I refused to expose her naked body to them. Turning my head back again, I saw that Vit and Noel were standing much further back then he had been a moment before.
The twins wolves were a big closer, but they were sitting on their haunches and both starring at their sister who was walking out from behind one of the large trees in a sports bra and shorts.
Lecia was rushing towards me with with looked looked like a small backpack in her hands and she was already pulling clothes out of it as she did so. Once she was right beside me she crouched down next to me and began dressing Dylan.
As she grabbed Dylan's feet to begin pulling on the black sweats she held in her hands, she snarled at me, "what the fuck happened to her, what did you do to her?"
"Nothing," I answered her angrily, "I didn't do anything to her. I was talking with her wolf and all of a sudden she shifted and collapsed. I caught her before she could hit the ground. I swear."
The look that Lecia was giving me as she got both of Dylan's bare feet through the pants legs was full of disbelief and distrust. "As if I'd believe anything you'd say Eren, look at everything you've done to her. You think anyone would believe you?"
Her words hurt, but they were the truth. It was exactly what I deserved, but I hated that this is what everyone thought of me. What I had to do to make them think of me this way.
As she began to pull the pants up her beautiful alabaster legs, I couldn't help but groan as her movements jostled Dylan in my arms. "I'd tell you to keep it in your pants, but since you aren't wearing any," Lecia glanced over at me, "Don't be a d*ck!"
I had no response for her, so I averted my eyes and I helped extend Dylan's legs by moving my legs and arms to give her more access to her. Keeping my gaze anywhere but on Dylan's body didn't stop the sensations from her touch.
Once Lecia had the sweats fully on she moved to Dylans top half. The way I held her against me had her beautiful hair draped forward over her shoulders and her tresses were long enough to cover most of her breasts, but not completely.
This time looking up wasn't enough, I closed my eyes and bit the inside of my lower lip hard enough to be uncomfortable but not too hard to draw blood. "Help me with her head," Lecia instructed and I obeyed. Now that she had pants on, it was easier to move her along my arm and thigh.
Bracing her back, I used my other hand to hold the back of her head up. It was then that I noticed how pale Dylan's lips were. "What the," I uttered as her head fell to the side. Lecia was bunching up the shirt in her hands to slip Dylan's head through, but dropped it when she heard my voice.
"What's wrong," she asked when she saw where I was looking. Lecia quickly moved her hands over Dylan's face. Touching her cheeks, nose, and then pulling open her eye lids, Lecia looked quickly towards me and asked again, "what happened to her?"
"She ran after that wolf and I followed her here. Her wolf was able to link with me somehow and was asking me questions and then all of a sudden she told me to help her right before she shifted back and immediately passed out. I swear."
Lecia watched my face carefully and when I finished speaking she looked back and forth between Dylan and me a few more times. "Fine, help me get her dressed, we need to get her to the clinic.
"No!" I shouted at her quickly. "We can't take her there, then my, he will find out what happened here tonight." I regretted my words the moment they had left my mouth, but it was too late. Lecia was staring at me, and I knew that she saw too much.
Her eyes looked over my body and I knew that she wasn't looking at me like that. She was looking at all of the burns, scars, and scabbed over wounds that hadn't fully healed yet.
The moment our eyes met again, I felt the flush of heat fill my face because her eyes said it all. She knew that there was a reason why I was afraid to take her to the pack doctor, and she knew exactly who I was referring to.
"What if we just take her to her house and wait to see what happens there," I asked her softly, trying to hide the desperation in my voice.
Lecia quickly grabbed the shirt again and was swiftly scrunching it up so that she could easily put it over Dylan's head. I helped her the best that I could, but I realized as I did so that Dylan didn't respond at all to the way that we were moving her around.
Sitting her up fully, Lecia pulled the shirt completely over her torso and started to pull her arms through the sleeves of the shirt. I couldn't help her with that, but as she struggled with her arms, I saw that there was no movement from Dylan at all.
Now that she was clothed, I replaced my arms around her back and before I gripped her under her legs, I turned her head so that it was nestled against my chest.
Standing, I turned to face the four other people here with us. "Something is wrong with Dylan and we need to get her home as fast as we can. I don't want anyone knowing she was out here tonight."
Noel seemed to be nodding in agreement, but the twins were still just sitting there on the ground, just staring at me.
Vit was the only one who didn't agree with me, and I didn't know if it was because he was so faithful to my uncle or because of his interaction with that guy from earlier, but it took me by surprise.
"No, she needs to go see the doctor if something is wrong with her," Vit stated sternly. Noel was taken back by his response as well because he turned to look at him so fast, it would have been funny in a different situation.
Even though I knew that I had little say over any kind of decisions that involved Dylan, I didn't think that any of them had the right to choose for her either.
"Why should we take her there? It could be that she was just exhausted or worn out and needs to rest. If we take her there others will find out."
I didn't need to tell them who I was talking about. They knew damn well that I meant my uncle, and by the looks on both of their faces, I knew that they had gotten it to.
Lecia was standing next to me now, with the small backpack thrown over her shoulder, "Dylan needs to be examined by the doctor, but we need to come up with a believable story to share with others about what happened tonight."
Vit and Noel were nodding in agreement, but I was still against taking her there. It didn't matter what kind of story we came up with. If Dylan woke up and didn't know the story we came up with we'd be screwed.
"Eren doesn't agree with me, but regardless of where we take her, we have to come up with a plan to figure out how to explain why were all together and why she ended up like this."
God, Lecia was not only smart, she was calculating. She would be a great asset to the guards if she chose to stay here after high school, but that was something that Harper could talk to her about.
Before I had a chance to argue with her very practical point, the twins suddenly shifted. I'm sure it was due to the fact that knew that I was going to start arguing with their sister, I braced myself for their smart a** comments.
Lecia was ready for them, and was already throwing a pair of shorts to each of them that she must have pulled quickly from her bag.
Surprised, that Nico was the first to talk, I just stood there and stared while he pulled the shorts on.
"The first things we need to figure out is who that guy was, and if there are any signs of him that can be tracked."
Cruz was nodding in agreement, but also added, "we also need to figure out a reason why we were all out here with Dylan."
Noel spoke up quickly. "Who says that we were all out here. Whatever story that we come up with doesn't have to include Vit or myself. I'm actually a very old man and my memory is getting very bad."
I knew he was joking, but seeing as how he was trying to make the situation a bit easier for all of us was nice. Vit on the other hand seemed so odd. He was one of the least talkative and expressive people I have ever met, but something was different.
Nico and Cruz had started to throw out ideas and we were all just standing there in a small little group, when Lecia finally spoke out, "I get that we're all trying to figure this out, but Eren, can you please put some clothes on."
Vit and Cruz both quickly walked forward with their arms out to take Dylan from me, but I immediately took a step back. "I don't have anything to wear, I hadn't been prepared to shift and didn't bring any shorts."
The laughter Nico let out seemed to echo through the trees. "Lecia's right," Cruz said, "regardless of where we take her, everyone will be suspicious if you show up like that," he motioned to me with his hand and waved it up and down.
Even though Vit didn't say anything, he took another step toward me and for some reason I felt the urge to snap or growl at him. He looked just as serious and somber as he always does, but there was something there that I couldn't put my finger on.
Lecia was fumbling through her pack again and came up with nothing. "Look, you need to go and find some clothes, but I'll let you take her all the way to her house if it makes you feel better."
It did, but it didn't and since I knew that was probably the best option for right now, I agreed. As we walked, I noticed that the others seemed to have unconsciously formed a small circle around me.
As we walked, everyone was throwing out ideas about how to explain what happened to Dylan and we had almost decided on a final explanation until both Vit and Noel stopped walking.
"Alpha Rogan is back," Noel said stiffly and looked towards Vit who seemed to be trying to shake off whatever it was that he had just been told through the link.
So I was right, and thankfully he had been off the pack lands tonight. I honestly didn't care where he had been, but it seemed that he wanted to meet with his private guards because they seemed ready to leave us.
Vit spoke suddenly and he was insistent, "take Dylan home, do not leave her side, and come up with a story that does not involve either myself of Noel."
Noel was staring at him and a part of me was afraid of what they had just been told by my uncle for their reactions to have changed so quickly.
Lecia was the one to agree, "then you two need to go. We will make enough noise for the neighbors to see us all come in with Dylan and create our story from there."
I had to admit that she was impressive, and I may end up being the one who tells Harper to try to recruit her if he wasn't already aware of how intelligent and quick she is.
While the four of us walked, I began to pay closer attention to Dylan's body in my arms. I wasn't sure how long they might let me stay there with them and what Dylan would do if she woke up right now while I carried her.
Drawing in her body closer to mine, I noticed that the tiny little shocks that I had been feeling since we put clothes on her had almost completely vanished. The air was cool outside, but I should have still been able to feel her body heat through her clothes.
Practically to her house, I shifted my arm so that I could see her face and I noticed that when her head fell back her lips had a bluish tint that hadn't previously been there.
"Something's wrong," I yelled to the others and Lecia was practically pulling Dylan out of my arms so that she could inspect her herself.
"What do you mean, what's wrong?"
But before I could tell her anything, I felt Dylan's whole body go limp in my arms, and in that same moment, the last of the tingles I felt in my arms stopped.
Lecia either saw or felt it to because I watched as the fear that I felt was perfectly reflected on her face.
"We have to take her to the clinic now," Lecia got out through the tears that had already started to fall.
Damning it all, I all out sprinted towards the clinic. Dane was urging me to go faster and I could feel the twins and their sister right behind me as I pushed myself to get her there as quickly as I could.
The moment I burst through the clinic, I saw Dr. Pavel and his nurse sitting behind the little desk in the foyer. The look on the small female's face was shock, but Dr. Pavel's expression was calm the entire time he got up and walked around to where I was.
"Take her in there," he instructed as he pointed to a small door to his left. One of the twins was already opening the door, and I was walking in with the doctor following right behind me.
Looking between the four of us, he instructed, "lay her on the bed there Eren, and then go grab something to put on while I examine her. Ms. Silvera, you stay in the room and explain the situation. The rest of you can wait outside, until I tell you otherwise."
When the door closed on the three of us, I felt like I had just left a part of me inside that room. The feeling of doom fell over me, but I was greeted by the small nurse with a pair of shorts and she led us to a small waiting area.
It was here that I have been since the moment we brought her to the clinic, and here where my uncle found me today when he was finally informed by Dr. Pavel about Dylan.
I prayed to the Gods I had no faith in and I asked that they let him take out whatever rage he had on me, and that they let her wake up and leave this pack as soon as she could. If they were real, I hope that for once, they will answer my prayers.
