A few years has gone by. Not much, as the boy Klaus has taken in, is only a few years older—a
little boy when found and a teen now. Marcellus is considered a family to Klaus and Elijah—a
little to Kol. Rebekah just sees the boy as interesting and the one that, might have, softened
Klaus' heart.
Now, the young teen is playing piano at the home where The Originals are staying, and Elijah
stands beside him. His fingers delicately pressed each key but a simple slip and the notes flatten,
discouraging him. He tries again and the notes stay flat.
"I can't do it," Marcellus said.
"You once said the same thing of your reading." Elijah reminds. "Now you devour everything
from Sonnets to Scripture. So devote yourself to your music. Soon you shall be Johann Sebastian
Bach." He encourages him.
Marcellus smiles and says, "But I want to play like you."
It was a cute moment. The room is tranquil like a father teaching his son everything he knows.
That is quickly shifted when they hear slow clapping from the doorway. Outcomes Klaus.
"Well isn't this nice- my older brother and my ward getting along like two peas in a pod."
Klaus's words hang no comfort.
So there wouldn't be any clashes, Elijah pats Marceluss' shoulder, "We shall continue another
time. Why don't you resume your "Hamlet"? Act one, scene 3 today." He pats him on the back
and Marcellus stands and leaves, "Off you go."
The clink of a tea hitting its plate catches the other two's attention. "It seems someone in a sour
mood." Stolas, who has been leisurely sitting in the corner the glow from the window enchanting
her more, mused.
"Congratulations- you've seen my brother drinking." Elijah jokes before turning to his brother,
"You've been drinking again, dear brother."
Klaus stands beside his brother, "Only to remedy the lifeless monotony that has overcome this
household." He said. He then smiles in amusement. "You know, Rebekah is still pouting over the
governor's son.
Stolas joins in, delicately stirring her tea, "I would be, too. You did throw the poor man to his
death." She looks up from her tea and her eyes mirth in amusement. "I, too, would throw a hissy
fit if someone killed my lover."
Elijah turns around and smiles teasingly at his brother, "Did you imagine a different outcome,
brother?"
Klaus busies himself with making some tea, placing a familiar knife on the table. "When you
monopolize young Marcellus with schooling." He placed the teapot down, looking up at the
ceiling as if reminiscing about old times. "He and I used to have such fun. If only there were
someone with whom I could share a bit of roguery."
Elijah comes to Stolas and helps her, preparing to leave the room when Klaus speaks, catching
their attention. "Ah, yes. That's right." He lifts the knife he has placed down and Elijah finally
realizes what he has done, "There is."
"You didn't." Elijah glares, but Klaus merely shrugs and laughs. Elijah runs down to the patio,
Klaus following suit, while Stolas remains upstairs and glances through the window to see the
two arrive just in time to see Kol awake and have devoured the last victim.
Stolas sighs, "It seems he has grown rather…" His voice trails off as she stares at the back of
Klaus's head, "...envious." She sips her tea before placing it down, her eyes now on Kol. "I
wonder how long he could hold with the young boy around."
"46," Elijah announced. Kol and Klaus continue to play their game of chess while they listen to
their older brother scold them again for their last 'antics'. "An entire tenement building. 46!
Bodies drained."
"Nonsense," Kol denies before a smile appears on his face. "It was at least 60."
Klaus smiles.
Kol continues, "Ah, they neglected to check the attic? Why do people always run for the attic? I
mean, it makes no sense."
Elijah, "It's difficult enough to keep our presence in the city a secret without the two of you
doing everything in your power to draw attention to us.
"I'm surprised you have the time to concern yourself with us, given the hours you play family
with that woman and Marcellus," Klaus said, no longer hiding the small hint of envy from his
brother.
Elijah catches it on and says, "It would do you well to not speak about her that way and is this all
of this about? You envy my bond with Marcellus and what I have with Stolas?" He questions.
His tone rises. "Niklaus, you brought that child into this home."
Elijah pauses, then continues, the horrible realization of what Marcellus is in in this family. "He
is no longer safe here. I cannot allow him to remain."
This causes Klaus's anger to brew, causing him to stand, his chair squeaking on the floor, and
point at Elijah. "You would punish the boy because of Kol's antics? I'd just as soon put him in
the box!"
She was rather shocked when preparing to rest. While on her bed, she was reading a book when
Elijah suddenly walts right in tirelessly. She didn't mind, and this wasn't their first time resting
in each other's homes.
She was more shocked at the state he was in.
Now here they are, Stolas rubbing the stress off of him and whispering sweet nothings.
"I'm not worried about Kol. As much. Klaus can handle him. I'm more worried about Klaus
being the one to snap," Elijah explains. Sighing in relief when Stolas hits a sore spot on his back.
"Why would you think that?" Stolas asked.
"Niklaus would snap at the drop of a hat. Envious when I bond with Marcellus but protective to
anyone who would separate or harm Marcellus."
Stolas sighs rolling her eyes at this whole fiasco. She stopped her massages and draped them
around Elijah's neck and down, leaning on him. She places soft kisses on his shoulder, then on
his neck, and last on his cheek.
las chuckles but stops herself from moaning, "You're asking that now?"
Elijah chuckles and continues. After being given the 'okay' from Stolas, who was already wet
and breathless, Elijah aligns himself and slowly enters.
Stolas moans and claws his back, her breathing heavy. Elijah stays still, waiting for her to get
used to it. After a few deep breaths, Stolas nods. Elijah pulls his hips back before snapping back
in. Stolas nails dig deeper the faster Elijah thrusts in her.
Elijah kisses Stolas and she kisses back just as hungrily. Her continued moans muffled by his
mouth.
"I'm close…" Stolas whispers.
Elijah nods and thrusts his hips faster, feeling the build-up in his lower stomach. With one final
thrust, Elijah and Stolas have reached their climax. Stolas moaning louder, her head tilting back
on her pillow and Elijah doing a few more thrusts to reach his end before stopping and pulling
out.
Elijah collapses on top of Stolas, not that she minds.
"I love you," Stolas mutters, still panting, kissing the tops of his head.
Elijah lifts his head and places it on her chest, making eye contact with her."I love you, too."
That night, the two slept in peace.
And when Elijah returns the following morning, Klaus doesn't miss the chance to mess with him
after seeing the state he is in.
"Elijah, you animal." Klaus laughs, followed by Kol.
Elijah continues his walk to his studies, "Shut your mouth, Klaus."
All was well until one day, Kol decided to 'introduce' Marcellus to a live theater at their patio
with people he had kidnapped and given real weapons, as they are forced to play 'Hamlet'Stolas continued to pepper kiss the side of his face while Elijah hummed in pleasure. Elijah turns
his head to kiss Stolas on the lips. They move their mouths in sync. Tongues entered each other's
mouths while they hummed and moaned.
Elijah turns his body, his lips not separating from Stolas, and grabs her shoulder softly and
pushes her down the mattress. Stolas wraps her arms around his neck and feverously kisses him.
he reaches out for him, letting out a low purr.
Elijah wraps one arm around her back, arching it, and then keeping it upright beside her head.
That arm then moves to untie the knot of her nightrobe. His hand trails from her from her inner
thigh, her stomach, then gropes her breast. Tweaking her nipple, earning a muffled moan from
Stolas.
Elijah's hand stops playing with her breast and goes down between her legs and into her
underwear. Elijah begins pleasuring her with his fingers.
Stolas pulls away and moans, her hand placed on the arm that pleases her. Elijah busies his
mouth by leaving marks around her neck.
"Should we do it?" Elijah asked breathlessly, kissing the back of her earThis causes Kol's own anger to brew. "You'd choose that little whelp over your own family?!"
Klaus glares at Kol, "That little Whelp is our family!"
Elijah looks at Kol, then at Klaus. He didn't really know what to make of his brother—doting,
then angry. Envious, then protective. A ticking time bomb over the boy he adopts.
Klaus looks away from Kol and then at Elijah and firmly says, "Marcellus stays."
"Is that so?" Stolas hums, rubbing her lover's back and easing the tension from his shoulders.
Elijah had come to Stolas's home to escape the drama on his own. He fears what could happen
with Marcellus but he trusts Klaus enough that nothing would happen to the boy while he's gone.
Though knowing how Niklaus is almost a double edge-sword- he fears that Niklaus will be the
one to hurt the boy.
Elijah sighs and rubs his temple the one thing calming him down is the soft hands that circle on
his shoulder.
"Calm down, Elijah. Nothing will happen to Marcellus." Stolas sighs, trying to have him think of
something else.
Marcellus has already pleaded to be let go, but Kol merely said that 'Shakespeare' should be
experienced.
One man says his line wrong, saying "Harlot" rather than "Hamlet" and Kol reminds him before
snapping the man's neck.
Elijah arrives with two dead bodies already.
"What have you done?" Elijah looks at Kol.
Kol smiles, not really understanding the problem. "I was just introducing Marcellus to the
theater. I thought you'd be pleased."
Elijah checks over Marcellus before facing his brother angrily, "Is there no limit to your vile
imagination, brother?"
Kol reasons, "If the lad is going to be a vampire he'll have to learn somehow, won't he?"
Elijah glares but doesn't say a word. Whether he agrees to some part of those statements is
unknown.
"Come," Kol gestures to Marcellus, "I've already fed him my blood." Looking at Marcellus, he
now notices the blood still in his mouth. "All you have to do is snuff him and, Viola, one of us.
Well, that's what you want…isn't it?"
And before Kol knew it, Elijah grabbed him by the scruff and drove him forward, when a hand
was placed behind Kol, stopping them.
"Let him go, Elijah," Niklaus warns.
Elijah stares at his brother before, roughly, letting him go. Kol pats himself, removing imaginary
dirt on his coat, "Thank you, Nik. At least someone knows the meaning of family." He sneers at
Elijah.
"I told you before." Niklaus roughly turns Kol around, "Marcellus is family." With those words,
Niklaus drives the knife back into Kol's heart. Returning Kol to his comatose state. As Kol's
body leans back, Elijah catches him.
Kol is now back at his coffin to rest for who knows how long, he can only apologize for being a
hypocrite. Seeing the sudden change in Niklaus's heart, Elijah has to stop those might prevent
that sudden change.
nd he, too, would have to sacrifice his relationship with the boy. Creating a rift so Marcellus
wouldn't be close to him anymore. It was a sacrifice he was willing to make
