Hello, this is my first time writing a fanfiction. If you notice any errors, please feel free to give me constructive feedback. English is not my first language, so if you notice any mistakes, please mention them in the comment section at the end of the chapter. Let's begin the story!
Word Count: 3800 Words
Note: Just a reminder that I've changed the Guild Auxiliary chapter. I've made some changes to it. I've removed a couple of NPCs and added a few.
***
It's not much but I have uploaded four chapters. I had planned on making this a 5-7 chapter long volume but it's been only four chapters and I haven't made much progress on the arc. So, I believe it would take at least 10 or 11 chapters to complete this arc.
Enjoy the story.

'It's finally over.'
Bruce sighed as looked around Sefirah Castle. The pillars, the table, the chairs. Everything was the same but now they looked more realistic.
'Though the game was close to perfect, it still couldn't be compared to the real thing. It was as if there was this essence that was missing. Something that distinguished it from the real. Now, it's different.
It's not just that, I can now truly feel this body. Plus the fact that despite my many efforts, I can't pull up the console and neither can I contact GM. Also, the power I'm feeling with my body now.
It's unlike anything I have felt till now. It's intoxicating. I just hope that I don't fall in love with myself after this.
Right, I couldn't be any more narcissistic than this, could I? But who is to say what the future holds?
Anyway as for World, she is still not receiving my call. Might be angry or disappointed and sad about it. I should drop by Arcadia to check on her as soon as I can. But before that... '
Bruce relaxed on the seat as he made himself comfortable on his Chair. His Chair was more extravagant, taller and bigger than the rest.
'I had to try the GM function. After all even Momonga tried it. It's sort of a ritual now.'
He just sat there on his chair staring ahead, looking at the empty chairs placed on both sides of the table.
With his left arm resting on the chair's armrest, his right arm moved towards the table.
Bruce or the now Lord of the Mysteries extended his right hand and caressed the table edge.
He tilted his head to observe the fog covering the pillars and the walls. The floor was made up of some unknown materials filled with unknown inscriptions. A very small amount of fog permeated through the floor. It covered very little and the fog on the floor was thin so that the floor was still visible.
Still in his old position, he raised his head to check the ceiling. A Giant Ceiling for a Giant Hall.
He looked at the realistic painting or mural on the ceiling. On it was a Giant Tree with many branches.
Each branch has only a single leaf. The leaf was big and was represented with various symbols and designs.
Had any player seen this during Yggdrasil, they would have lost their mind. The Giant Tree was the World Tree, Yggdrasil.
Each of those branches with a single leaf represented Worlds.
The mural didn't end with just the drawing of the Yggdrasil. The leaves were not so simple. These designs and symbols covering leaves made the map of the Nine Worlds of Yggdrasil.
Bruce's Greed or longing to hoard everything he could know no bounds.
He had put up Yggdrasil's map on the ceiling for him to admire in the New World. In the New World, it is of no use except as some decortications. But he still moved ahead with it.
The details were accurate. He had the map of every World of Yggdrasil. Even the half-eaten Leaf near the root. On it sat a Giant Dragon, almost as big as the leaf itself. The Giant Tree, Yggdrasil was made inverted.
It was an inverted tree on the ceiling.
He stretched his right hand as he rapped on the table.
'Huh! Let's try it. I can't wait... '
Beckoning his call golden particles gathered in front of him and formed a portal.
Lord of the Mysteries observed it closely.
From within the Golden Portal, a Sword entered reality. Lord of the Mysteries did not attempt to take the sword.
He stopped his rapping as he snapped his fingers and the portal disappeared.
Watching his experiment bear fruit, he relaxed and laid back on the chair. The Seat of Honour, The Fool once again rapped on the table.
'Can't forget the important stuff. I should get it done before leaving The Sefirah Castle. It's a matter of my survival. I can't risk my life here.'
He looked ahead and willed for the portal to come into existence.
This time it was a suitcase that appeared instead of a Sword.
The suitcase dropped on the table.
He looked around, and all he found was that empty and desolated Giant Halls.
'World was right. As per her instructions, I packed the Suit, hat, Cane and every other stuff I got from ROB neatly the way I had received it.
Especially the Book of the Omniverse.
Lastly, I had to keep it on me. Normally it would have. been difficult but I was Bruce Wayne. My console is custom-made.
Right before logging in, I had placed the suitcase on top of my lap.
And Viola here it is.'
Lord of the Mysteries picked up the suitcase and placed it on the table.
'I can't stop myself from smiling. I've really come to another world. Not just as any mob character but as a God. Moreover, I'm now immortal.'
Lord of the Mysteries once again sighed and giggled unable to control his happiness at the prospects of his life now. Things he could do and things he could enjoy.
Now that he was immortal, he had all the time to enjoy his life.
Lord of the Mysteries grinned as he opened the suitcase. In it was a Book.
'An important item. Something that I can never hope to lose. Where shall I place it? In my inventory or Gate of Babylon.'
Lord of the Mysteries contemplated as he stared at the Book, enough to bore a hole through it.
Lord of the Mysteries lifts the Book turns it around and inspects it.
'Still no luck. I still can't open it.'
He sighed as he placed it inside the Golden Portal that opened as he willed it.
'Inventory or Storage is a power that I have received from Overlord or Yggdrasil. It's power from Transmission whereas the Gate of Babylon is power from ROB, something innate. It will stick around for as long as I exist. Though I'm not too sure of this prowess from Yggdrasil. What if there's an item or someone who could neutralize it.'
Lord of the Mysteries as he was done with the Book. He next moved on to the only items left in the suitcase, his Suit and the cane.
The most important items in his possession right after The Book.
'So how do I do it? Should I have to change my dress the orthodox way?'
He retrieved the Suit, but as soon as he made contact with it. The Suit as if it had a life of its own, moved as a symbiote and covered his body.
After it was done, his old dress lay on the table while he was wearing the ROB's Suit. He retrieved the hat next and wore it to complete the set with the cane that he placed on top of the table.
'Now it's time for the main item.'
He expectantly stared ahead as Golden Portal manifested and through it, a Golden Cylinder shaped handle with an intricately designed Giant Key came through.
He calmly took it out and inspected it.
'So this is the key, the key to Ea. What about Enkidu.'
As he thought of it, a golden portal opened at his left and a chain shot through it. Lord of the Mysteries caught it and held the chain as he inspected it.
He held the Key in his right hand and the chains of Heaven or Enkidu in his left hand.
'This is good. A dream come true.'
He let go of the chain and placed the key back in the Gate of Babylon. Both the Enkidu and Ea along with the portal faded in specks of golden light.
Lord of the Mysteries after keeping the Ea and Enkidu back in the gate, straightened his back and sat in a contemplative state.
'On to the next important item. The Cube and the Book of Summoning.'
Lord of the Mysteries summoned them and inspected them. He looked at the Cube closely. He was happy with the design, and after looking at it for a while he stored it in his coat pocket.
As for the book, he opened it.
'Let's try summoning something. As for the Cube, I'll try riding a bike in the Race Arena World built on the Floor Arcadia.
What should I summon?
It can't be a living organism, I won't be sure of what to do with it now. What can I summon to test it?
Should I summon something to eat? It's not like I've had the best of the food for the past few years. Though it was a luxury in the old world artificial food could never match the real thing.'
Lord of the Mysteries moved back a bit on his chair, he threw his arm forward striking a pose to call the summoning.
'Yggdrasil is rubbing off on me. Grrr, I would have cringed at myself had I seen myself doing this while back on earth.'
"Summon Coconut"
'Though I said something to eat, I felt the urge to drink something.'
As he had commanded, a coconut manifested in front of him. He caught it cut open the top and enjoyed the drink.
He relaxed while drinking as he placed his foot on the table.
'It's as if I'm in Hawaii.'
After finishing the drink, he threw it in his storage to dispose of it later. He couldn't use his spells inside unless he destroyed something.
'Enough of this but why is World not answering the call? Let's try divination. I am not sure of the mood or the flavour text acting up. Whatever it is, I don't wish to get caught up in it. If it is time for what she needs then it is what she will get. I'll try my best to not leave this floor.
I'm not sure of my feelings also to confronting her. After everything that's happened. I'm confused and lost. Maybe I should take it slow and be careful with my next moves.'
He contemplated his situation as he felt a tremor. The whole world of Sefirah Castle quaked. He felt the impact, he got nervous.
'Was it World? Is she angry? I'm not too sure. I know that she is strong but she wouldn't be this strong would she? Well, she was an admin in Yggdrasil.
That line of thought is not helping.'
"Children throwing tantrums."
He sighed as he spoke. His voice carried his tiredness.
'I'm sure it was not World. She wouldn't be so childish would she? She does behave as a child would sometimes, throwing tantrums. She would never do something so damaging. After all, she is loyal to me. No flavour text of Yggdrasil can change that. She is the creation of ROB. Yggdrasil could never hope to compete with HIM.
So off the chance it is not ROB, then are we under attack? If so then I will have to get to World as soon as I can.'
Lord of the Mysteries rapped the table as he got up.
Sooner had he got up, he observed the Hall covered with specks of light. Small star-shaped light-emitting objects hovered all around the hall.
The sight blew his mind. He was surprised, to say the least.
He lost all his strength as he fell on his chair and laid back observing the spectacle.
'It's surely not an attack. It must be ROB's doing. There's no way anyone could just waltz in here and perform such an act without alerting anyone, especially World.
I've read Overlord till the latest volume, and only two or three volumes remained before Overlord was going to end. There's no way I wouldn't know of major players of the New World.
I know not of a single entity capable of doing such except for Dragon Emperor. Who remains a mystery to this day. A powerful entity who summoned the players to this World. More like he was summoning World Items and players were add-ons.
To be hated by his kind for the act. I'm not sure how it feels.'
He sighed as he looked around.
'So, I'm sure on this front, that it is ROB's doing. Why exactly I'm not sure. Maybe, just maybe, is it due to how many rules I and World have broken.
Our powerups have altered the path a lot and this is the consequence of our actions. So it's not that World is ignoring my calls but I'm isolated from her. Knowing ROB he wouldn't punish her.
So it is safe to assume that I'm the one isolated from the Guild and World. Then what is this place.'
{Spell, Greater Teleportation}
'Neither Greater Teleportation nor Lopt is functioning. Or maybe..'
Lord of the Mysteries disappeared from his seat as he teleported using Lopt to the opposite seat of his at the other end of the long table.
He again used the spell.
{Spell, Greater Teleportation}
To come back to his original seat.
'So it does work but I'm unable to leave this castle. So my first hypothesis is right. I'm the one isolated from all of existence. So where am I?'
Lord of the Mysteries laid back on his chair and raised his head trying to look through the roof of the Sefirah Castle but all for nought.
He sighed as looked ahead at the mini-stars occupying his abode.
'Until I find a solution I am locked in here. Guess there's no other way than to tap on these stars. They do look somewhat similar to the stars from Lotm when Klein Moretti first entered the Sefirah Castle.
So am I getting followers out of these?
Start a Tarot Club maybe.'
He gave up too fast and tapped on the two stars closest to him.
'Why settle for one when I can go for more?'
Though he wished to tap on more sooner had he tapped on them, he vanished from his spot.
Maybe it might not have been the best idea to touch it without any care.'
Lord of the Mysteries when he opened his eyes, he had found himself in a dimly lit room.
He looked around, he sat cross-legged atop a stone platform. An array of Magic Circles is drawn on the stone.
He looked up and saw an old man standing at the back looking at him with a scrutinizing gaze.
In the front stood a girl of fifteen to sixteen years old and beside her stood a boy of the same age.
The girl looked at him with a curious gaze while the boy stared at him with contempt.
'The boy is looking down on me. I'm not too sure how to proceed further with this. Maybe I should teach him a lesson.
Lord of the Mysteries observed the occupants of the room as sat cross-legged on the floor.

Fuyuki City, Japan
A black-haired girl wearing a red top and black skirt could be seen walking down the streets returning home from school.
The girl walked across the street and entered a compound. She hummed as she opened the door to the house and entered and locked the door.
The girl had walked into a giant mansion. While holding her school bag in her hand, she entered her home.
As she walked through the hall, her gaze wandered through the place. In the end, her gaze wandered to the telephone placed on a stool at her house.
The Voicemail indicator flashed announcing a voicemail she had received. Seeing it she clicked on it to hear the message.
[ You have one message, recorded on January 31, 3:21 PM ]
|Fuyuki Church|
[Rin, It's me.
As I'm sure you are aware, tomorrow is the deadline, Rin.
I insist that you start taking this seriously, and soon.
Only two openings remain the Archer and Saber classes.
The rank of the Master must be filled without delay.
Summon your Servant and establish your Command Spells immediately.
OF course, if you do not wish to participate in the Holy Grail War, that is a different matter.
If you value your life, seek shelter with the Church... ]
The Girl named Rin cut off the call as she,
"I know what I have to do. You don't need to tell me."
.
.
.
In a dark underground chamber, a girl named Rin stood facing a Giant Red Magic Circle drawn on the ground.
"Preparations, ready."
"Time is perfect."
"Wavelength ideal."
She measured her pulse as she walked towards the circle.
"By performing the summoning at 2 AM, when my mana's at its peak, I'll get Saber, even without a catalyst!"
She calmed her nerves as she retrieved gemstones and stood before the Magic Circle.
"For the essence, silver and steel.
For the foundation, gems and the archduke of contracts.
For the ancestor, my great master, Schweinorg."
The chants continued and with every stanza the magic circle lit up and glowed.
Without stopping she continued.
"Close the cardinal gates, be bound to the circle, and follow the three columns of the Sephirot to descend from the Crown to the Kingship.
Fill and lock, fill and lock, fill and lock...
Set.
Heed my words,
Your fealty shall be mine, and my fate shall be yours.
My will creates your body and your sword creates my destiny.
If you heed the Grail's call and obey my will and reason, then answer me.
I hereby swear that I shall be all the good in the world.
...
The chat continued...
Guardian of the Scales."
As she finished her cast, a powerful wind blew and the room lit up resonating with the ritual.
"I've surely pulled the strongest card."
As the light died down, the girl or Rin looked at her surroundings but there was no one to be seen.
"Huh!"
Soon hearing the sound coming from the living room, she ran up the stairs and entered the living room.
Only to find a white-haired man comfortably sitting on the sofa.
Whereas the living room was completely in shambles.
"It's still 1 AM. All clocks in the house are running one hour late. I messed up again. Huh!"
Rin stomped on the floor as she looked at the White Haired Man wearing a Red coat on a Black armoured dress.
"So, what are you?"
Hearing her question, the Man looks at her.
"Well, that's the first thing you say to me. Seems I've been summoned by an outrageous Master indeed. Wait a minute, it seems I might have drawn the shortest straw after all."
.
.
.
They further talked and made peace. Establishing their roles as Master and Servant. Though calling it or declaring it, as them having made peace is an understatement.
The peacemaking did cost Rin her one command seal.
It also did end up with Archer calling Rin an idiot but Archer did finally accept her as his Master.
Rin acknowledged that she had ended up summoning an Archer and not a Saber. Though she did regret it only time could unveil if her regret does hold.
.
Next Day,
"You are the perfect Master and there is no one I could hope to serve other than you."
"Hmm!"
Rin blushed and turned around shyly.
Rin and Archer were both standing atop a tall building as they looked at the city getting a Bird's eye view.
After inspecting the city that would soon turn into a battlefield they went on their way. Rin led the way as Archer followed her in his invisible state.
Rin hid behind a pole as she watched her classmate talking to someone across the street.
"What is it, Rin?"
"I've skipped school today. I don't want to run into anyone from school. You see the purple-haired girl over there standing, talking to some blonde-haired Man with a Young Man in a suit leaning on the gate. She is someone I've been trying to avoid."
"Is that so? Wait the man in suit!"
"What is it?"
She turned halfway to ask him the question for his abrupt reaction, it was sudden and not something they expected but She and Archer made eye contact with the Man in Suit.
Seeing them, the Man did not move an inch from his position. He just tipped his hat in their direction.
He first looked at Rin and then moved his gaze towards Archer.
So, there wasn't an ounce of doubt left. Rin and Archer both realised it.
The Man could see them, Rin and Archer who is in a concealed state.
Archer picked up Rin, leaving no time for her to object. He escaped from the place. Jumping through the buildings to the forest.
"Let me down."
"Keep quiet. We could end up dead had we stayed any more second there."
"Wait. So he is a Servant?"
"A Servant wouldn't warrant such a reaction Rin. He is not of this World."
"What do you mean not of this World, an Alien?"
"Something similar."
Archer dropped Rin after travelling quite a distance. He looked back to check for the Man.
"Luckily he didn't follow."
"Archer so how did an alien come to this world."
"We should keep our distance Rin."
Rin tried to further ask Archer questions but he refused to elaborate. Though she did catch his mumbling. She couldn't hear it full but she did catch a few words among his mumblings.
"Gaia" "Counter force" "Alien God" "Impossible" "Akasha"
'Gaia as in the Earth?'
There were a lot of questions but no answers, it only increased her curiosity to the topic.
'What was Sakura doing with an Alien? And who was that Blonde Guy?'
