Chapter 5 - The Awakening | Break 3

A couple of days had elapsed since Shanti had collapsed from exhaustion, and Antia had been taking care of her. When Shanti finally woke up, Antia's face lit up with relief, and she exclaimed, "Oh, thank goodness! You're awake!" Shanti was disoriented, and Antia explained that she had passed out from exhaustion. Antia advised Shanti to rest while she cooked.

As Antia cooked, the room fell silent, and an awkward tension filled the air. The fragrant aroma wafting from the kitchen was overpowering for Shanti, and her stomach grumbled with hunger. She asked Antia about the dish she was preparing, and Antia replied that it was called soup and was a delicacy from her hometown.

Shanti's curiosity was piqued, and she asked Antia where she was from. Antia revealed that she wasn't born in that place, and neither was her family. She was raised by her auntie in that place.

Just then, Leviot strode into the house and announced his arrival. Antia welcomed him and asked how his day had been. Leviot sighed heavily and turned to Shanti, inquiring about her well-being. He had sensed a fuzzy spell in her magic current the day before.

Shanti replied that she was fine and then hesitantly asked Leviot if he knew anyone named Ron. She explained that she wanted to find her family and thought that Ron might be able to assist her. Leviot racked his brain and recollected a special forces agent in the vampire's warden headquarters named Ron. He mentioned that Ron was currently deployed for border patrol but was unable to provide any information on his whereabouts as he was unfamiliar with his magic.

Shanti grew frustrated and furious and declared that she would go alone. Antia intervened and appealed to Leviot to assist Shanti, as it was about her family. Leviot was hesitant and concerned about the danger of sending a signal message to Ron via a magic wave. Suddenly, he was jolted by a magic signal emanating from his heart.

A mysterious voice began speaking in a cryptic language, and Leviot cast a magic circle around him to interpret the message. He received a message from Ron and quoted it word-for-word, "If anyone can hear the encrypted message, and knows the whereabouts of Shantiel Lothaire, I command you to respond at once" With that he followed it up with his own signal to Ron "I hear you, special forces agent Ron, this is Leviot retired royal guard of Shantiel Lothaire, I have Shanti with me If you wish to meet I'll send you our whereabouts with this transfer, appear at once, looking forward seeing you."

inviting Ron to meet them. Shanti sensed the invisible umbrella in her hands and heard a voice emanating from it.

The voice expounded on how foul beasts, gods, creators, spirits, and vampires all met their demise, while humans, demons, and angels paid with their beliefs. It also spoke about how light and dark, along with all elements, constituted our being, each like a puzzle piece that made up our puzzle.

As Shanti listened to the voice, an image of the merchant who had sold her father the relics materialized in her mind. He was speaking into a red gem and laughing maniacally. He said, "Soon... To... Be... Bestowed... Upon... Your Daughter..." as he strolled past the house where Shanti was staying. Shanti collapsed again as the voice faded away.

Leviot amplified the magic circle and led it into the house ground, and the magic dissipated. The merchant continued walking past the house, still cackling maniacally. While his name glew up in red and gold "Nel Ehrit"
