Upon arriving on Earth, the colossal spaceship landed near Bulma's research facility in West City. Dr. Brief, having received early notification of Bulma's return, had been waiting for some time.
After disembarking, Bulma busied herself with her tasks and handed over the expedition's findings to her father.
Lin Chuan immediately checked if he could still sense the space mark of Planet Namek, and he was satisfied with the results. Although he couldn't extend his ki over such vast distances, he could utilize Instant Transmission with just a bit of energy due to the spatial mark.
After a successful test that didn't require significant energy expenditure, Lin Chuan was pleased with this capability of Instant Transmission, which was far less limiting than the version he had from Planet Yardrat.
After organizing and resting, the next day, Lin Chuan, Piccolo, and Gohan were relaxing outside on the second-floor terrace of the large roundhouse just after lunch—a break from their usual rigorous training regimen, especially since they had just returned to Earth.
Dende was there, too.
After returning to Earth, Lin Chuan had an implicit exchange with Piccolo, understanding his intentions, and chose not to interfere with Piccolo's plans.
Time flew by, and almost nine months had passed since their return from Planet Namek. During this long yet brief period, Earth remained peaceful.
However, invaders were approaching, and this peace was like the calm before a storm.
The Z fighters were pushing themselves to their limits to prepare for the impending crisis.
Today, in the dark expanses of space, two spaceships cut through the void at speeds surpassing that of light headed straight for Earth. The occupants, Vegeta and Nappa, were unaware that they were effectively delivering themselves to their demise.
As they neared, the ships switched from hyperspeed to cruising mode. Upon awakening, Vegeta and Nappa opened their eyes.
"Finally, are we almost there?" Vegeta asked.
"Heh, heh! After a long year, it's finally over. I hope this planet won't disappoint us, Vegeta."
Back on Earth, in West City near the Capsule Corp facility, a massive new structure stood—a giant gravity training room Bulma had built a few months ago to enhance Lin Chuan's training environment.
Inside, the room was filled with a bright red glow as Lin Chuan conducted his high-gravity training. Day after day, month after month, the gravity display in the central control room showed an astounding 300G—300 times Earth's gravity.
This regimen, similar to Vegeta's training in the original story, was something Lin Chuan could not just endure but actively excel in. Coupled with additional weight training, these few months had significantly enhanced his physical strength.
Not only had he developed an almost indestructible body, but his mastery of power and manipulation of ki had reached peak levels. His power had risen impressively, now over 35 million points, at 35,545,500 to be exact.
If Lin Chuan were to transform into a Super Saiyan now, with just a 50 times boost, his power would nearly reach 1.8 billion!
Forget the current universal threats; even if the androids were to resurface in a few years, whether it was Android 17, 18, or both together, he could handle them effortlessly. Only a further evolved Cell could pose a real challenge.
These nine months had been transformative for Lin Chuan, marking the beginning of something new.
As he reached a stopping point in his training, Lin Chuan pressed a red button in the central control room. With a deep hum and a subsequent roar, the red glow dissipated.
The environment returned to normal Earth gravity, and Lin Chuan felt an instant relief from the pressure. After concluding this session, he relaxed, took a shower in the temporary rest area, changed into a simple martial arts uniform, and stepped out of the large roundhouse.
He was about to return for lunch when he sensed two unfamiliar and malevolent presences approaching.
Looking up into the sky, he mused, "So, they're finally here? Vegeta and Nappa, coming all this way just to be defeated."
Chuckling to himself, Lin Chuan had been anticipating this day, even dreaming of the scene where Vegeta and Nappa would be utterly crushed upon their arrival.
"This speed, this distance, it shouldn't take more than half an hour for them to reach Earth," he muttered to himself as he flew back to the large roundhouse, unwilling to let their arrival interrupt his meal.
Meanwhile, on an uninhabited island in the south, Piccolo and Gohan were engaged in intense field training. Gohan, though not always training with Piccolo or Lin Chuan, made a point of seeking them out daily.
With his power having reached 250,000 points, traveling back and forth daily posed no issue for him. Unlike in the original story, where he was solely reliant on Piccolo's wilderness survival training due to his weaker state, the current Gohan was vigorously attacking Piccolo, who casually countered his moves while teaching him further combat techniques.
As they sparred vigorously, they suddenly sensed two strong energies approaching Earth. They stopped their combat and looked up.
"Looks like those two Saiyans have finally arrived... After all this time," Piccolo said with a wicked grin. His power has grown unimaginably over the past year.
"Now, these energies... they're so weak," Gohan remarked innocently, indicating his view of Nappa and Vegeta's strength.
Despite his growth, Piccolo cautioned him, "Even if they are weaker, never underestimate any enemy. The least threatening can often be the most dangerous."
"I understand, Uncle Piccolo," Gohan replied, obediently nodding.
Above, at Kami's Lookout, Dende had been living there for nine months, free to roam Earth or visit friends. Kami Piccolo, seeing Dende as his successor, had not expected to return from Planet Namek with a potential new guardian who was utterly pure, making Dende an ideal candidate for the next Earth Guardian.
Originally planning for Gohan to take over, Kami Piccolo's plans had shifted with Dende's arrival—no one was better suited to the role on this planet.
Now, as the enemy neared, Kami Piccolo and the Z fighters stood ready at the Lookout, peering into the cosmos, sensing the imminent threat.
"I had calculated the timing, but it seems I was off... I wonder if Goku and his brother have finished their training," Kami Piccolo remarked, concerned about the new generation of fighters who had trained under his watch for a year.
"Today, they'll show the results of their training," he declared, despite his worries about the upcoming confrontation.
