"I hope that before Goku and Raditz return, you can withstand the invasion of those two Saiyans."
Despite sensing that Tien, Krillin, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu might not match the two Saiyans, Kami Piccolo still earnestly instructed the four before him.
"After a year of intense training, we have completely transformed. Let any Saiyan come at us!" Yamcha was the first to speak, but his confidence in his strength was somewhat blind.
Now reborn, his power had indeed surged, reaching 1750 points.
This was undoubtedly an improvement from his original power level of 1480 points in the stories, but this marginal increase in strength wasn't nearly enough to make a significant difference.
"Leave it to us, Lord Kami. Even without Goku, we won't be easily defeated," Krillin said, his confidence less flamboyant than Yamcha's.
While he felt very confident in his abilities, he always harboured a sense of foreboding about unknown enemies, aware that the enemy was not to be underestimated.
"Although we may not win, we can certainly buy time with our current strength! So, Lord Kami, do not worry too much. Goku is also on his way back from the Other World," Tien, the strongest among those present, added.
His power had increased significantly compared to the original story, reaching 3000 points.
Krillin achieving 2780 points was already a miracle, and Tien was even stronger.
Chiaotzu, on the other hand, remained silent. His strength was the weakest among them but still much improved from the original story, breaking past 1100 points.
"It's great to have ambition, but the enemies descending this time are extraordinarily powerful," Kami warned them seriously.
"Remember, never be careless!"
Kami hoped that his four trainees could hold off the Saiyans.
He truly relied on Raditz and Goku, who were training with King Kai. As Earth's Guardian, how could he compare to King Kai?
Reaching a consensus, the warriors exchanged glances and flew down from Kami's Lookout.
The enemy had not yet arrived, but they had preparations, such as obtaining Senzu Beans from Korin and meeting with some important people.
Watching their departing figures, Kami Piccolo turned to face Dende and Mr. Popo.
"Popo, I will go to the Other World to wait for Goku's return. Please take care of Dende," he instructed seriously. After receiving affirmative responses from both, Kami Piccolo vanished from the Lookout.
At that moment, on King Kai's planet at the end of Snake Way in the Other World.
Under King Kai's tutelage, Goku and Raditz had also made considerable progress.
They were completely different from when they had first arrived on King Kai's planet. With Raditz's inclusion, their paths diverged significantly from the original story.
Competing and supporting each other, Goku had become much stronger than he was in the original narrative, and Raditz had fully unleashed his potential, undergoing a dramatic transformation.
It must be said that Raditz's potential was not to be underestimated; it was just that he never had the chance to show it in the original story.
As Goku and Raditz were sparring under King Kai's supervision, King Kai suddenly sensed something and interrupted them.
"Let's stop today's training, Goku, Raditz," King Kai said, his hands behind his back, his voice tinged with urgency.
He hadn't expected to miscalculate the timing.
He thought there were still two days before the Saiyans would reach Earth, but there were less than two hours left.
"What's happened, King Kai?" Goku asked, oblivious to the situation.
"King Kai, you're not going to pull one of your strange training methods on us again, are you?" Raditz asked warily, having been frequently pranked by King Kai during their training.
Seeing them stop, King Kai no longer hesitated and explained the situation.
"What?! Vegeta and the others are arriving so soon?!" Raditz exclaimed.
"Oh no! With the length of Snake Way, we won't make it back in time!" Goku realised, panicking.
They hadn't expected King Kai, who always seemed to know everything, to make a miscalculation.
"Don't worry. With your current strength, you can run the entire length of Snake Way in one or two hours," King Kai reassured them.
"Even if you're a little late, there are many fighters on Earth who, although they may not be much, can still buy some time."
"Before you leave, I have one more gift for you."
As he spoke, King Kai activated his powers.
Their clothes instantly disappeared and then reappeared, transformed. Goku and Raditz were now dressed in new battle uniforms.
Goku's outfit was still the familiar orange gi, but now it bore a 'Kai' symbol instead of the 'Turtle' on the back.
Raditz's outfit retained the Saiyan style but now featured a 'Kai' symbol on his chest.
"This uniform... feels different from before. It's completely weightless," Goku remarked, surprised.
"Of course, these are specially made by King Kai. Not only are they light, but their defensive capabilities are excellent. Ordinary attacks won't even scratch them," King Kai explained proudly.
"But what does this symbol mean?" Raditz focused on the new emblem.
"Well, you might as well be considered my disciples, so naturally, you should wear a uniform that marks you as disciples of King Kai!" King Kai said, puffing out his chest with pride.
Both were stunned by the revelation.
While most might ponder the implications of such a symbol, Goku and Raditz, being Saiyans, didn't care much.
They prepared to leave after bidding King Kai farewell and having their strength restored and a hearty meal under his power.
"So, we'll take our leave now. Thank you for your guidance, King Kai," Goku said humbly, expressing his gratitude.
King Kai nodded in satisfaction, looking at his favourite disciple. He preferred Goku over Raditz, so he had taught Goku all his techniques.
Though Raditz had also been instructed, he just couldn't seem to grasp them as well as Goku.
"Go on then. We'll see each other again after you die. According to Saiyan lifespans, it'll only be a few decades," King Kai joked.
"Okay," Goku responded casually, knowing that although they were on King Kai's planet, it was essentially part of the Other World.
Raditz remained silent, but his eyes conveyed his gratitude to King Kai for his guidance.
Without King Kai, there would be no new Raditz.
Two hours swiftly passed.
Beyond Earth.
Two spacecraft locked onto their target pierced through Earth's atmosphere and plummeted towards a densely populated city.
**BOOM! BOOM!**
Accompanied by tremendous shockwaves, after the explosions, two craters approximately twenty to thirty meters in diameter and several meters deep appeared in the center of the city.
Though the impact of the spacecraft was much less than that of a meteorite, it was still significant to ordinary people.
Due to the direct collision of the two spacecraft, the area plunged into chaos, resulting in numerous human casualties.
It was like a disaster from the heavens—the landing spacecraft suddenly crushed people going about their everyday lives.
The anticipated riot did not occur.
Instead, the usually bustling streets quickly filled with people, humans inherently curious about the unknown, not knowing that curiosity could be deadly.
As the spacecraft doors opened after a year-long journey, Vegeta and Nappa finally breathed fresh air.
The two slowly emerged from the ship, used the Flying Technique to leave the crater, and landed on the street.
"Is this the Earth where Kakarot lives? Such a low-level planet. Its life forms are so weak they don't even register a power level 5!" Using his scouter, Nappa observed his surroundings, his gaze mockingly sweeping over everyone.
The Earthlings, still unclear about what was happening, started to murmur among themselves.
The noise grew louder, causing Vegeta and Nappa to become irritated.
"Such ant-like Earthlings, truly noisy. There's no need to waste time here, Nappa. Wipe out all the Earthlings here," Vegeta commanded impatiently, pondering briefly before adding coldly, "Consider it the first gift we bring to Earth. I'm sure Kakarot and Raditz will be very pleased."
"Understood, Prince Vegeta," Nappa replied with a cruel smile, raising his right hand...
Energy gathered, and the next second...
**BOOM!**
A destructive wave of energy rapidly spread, instantly enveloping the entire city.
Within a hundred miles, the entire human metropolis was reduced to rubble under Nappa's devastating attack.
"That looks much better. Where are Kakarot, Raditz, and that Tarlos now?
"I can hardly wait to crush them," Nappa sneered, his bloodthirst evident. Having spent years alongside Vegeta conquering planets, he held everyone but Vegeta and the high-ranking officers of the Frieza force in disdain.
"Even hiding is useless. The scouter can precisely locate these traitors," Vegeta smirked menacingly, floating up and activating his scouter.
**Beep beep beep!**
As the scouter beeped, it detected two notable power levels and marked their locations.
"Hmm? Power levels of 2000 and 2500, are they Kakarot and Raditz?"
"A year has passed, and this is their so-called improved strength? In the end, a low-level warrior is just a low-level warrior. Raditz that waste has the potential of an elite warrior but can only achieve this much."
Looking at the numbers on his scouter, Vegeta was convinced his guess was correct. He had hoped Raditz might surprise him, but this? Vegeta had no idea that the harsh words he now spoke would soon come at a great cost.
"It seems it's Kakarot and Raditz. Otherwise, no one on this planet could reach these power levels," Nappa concurred.
"Let's go, deal with these traitors first, then search for the Dragon Balls to fulfill our wishes," Vegeta said with a cold laugh.
The two Saiyans powered up and flew towards the direction indicated by the scouter.
On a vast, uninhabited island where Piccolo and Gohan were located, the master and student instantly sensed Vegeta and Nappa's approach.
"Uncle Piccolo, they landed and are heading right towards us. And, and the city over there, so many life forces suddenly vanished!!!" Although Gohan felt no fear or dread towards Vegeta and Nappa, the sudden disappearance of many life forces in the city impacted his young mind deeply.
"A whole city, slaughtered by the Saiyans!"
"Hmm! Keep your composure; it doesn't matter how many have died; we have the Dragon Balls. We can simply wish the dead back to life afterward," Piccolo replied nonchalantly, seemingly indifferent to the numerous Earthlings who had perished.
In his eyes, Vegeta and Nappa were no different from ants.
A year ago, knowing the Saiyans' strength had made him skeptical and powerless to resist. Now, those feelings were gone...
He only wanted to deal swiftly with the two Saiyans and continue training to enhance his power.
A whooshing sound suddenly appeared behind them.
Piccolo and Gohan simultaneously sensed something and glanced sideways.
Unexpectedly, Lin Chuan had arrived behind them without a sound.
"Instant Transmission, huh? Quite a convenient ability. In combat, it could instantly place an opponent in a lethal position," Piccolo remarked as he noticed Lin Chuan's sudden appearance.
Lin Chuan is indeed a monster.
But he had grown accustomed to it.
"Uncle Lin Chuan!" Gohan greeted him warmly.
Despite only being two days since they last met, Gohan always greeted him enthusiastically.
"Um," Lin Chuan nodded, gently patting the young boy's head.
The trio exchanged only a few words when suddenly, four familiar ki signatures approached quickly.
Four streaks of light descended from the sky, revealing the faces of those arriving.
It was Yamcha, Krillin, Tien, and Chiaotzu who had come down from Kami's Lookout after making all the necessary preparations.
"Uncle Krillin! Uncle Tien! Uncle Yamcha! And Uncle Chiaotzu!" Gohan greeted his father's friends politely, eager to say hello.
"It's been a while, Gohan. You're looking good," Krillin said with a smile as he greeted Gohan.
"This power... Who would have thought that Goku's son would grow so strong so quickly? Impressive," Tien, with his superior sense of ki, was astonished by Gohan's power, though he was only sensing the 2000 power level that Gohan was outwardly displaying.
If he knew Gohan's true strength, it would undoubtedly overturn his worldview.
After years of diligent training, Tien had achieved his current strength.
"You flatter me, Uncle Tien," Gohan replied.
After catching up briefly and reaffirming their bonds, the only one visibly troubled was Yamcha, whose gaze was constantly fixed on Lin Chuan.
"Can't see through him, even after a year of hard training? Damn it!" Yamcha fumed internally.
He had hoped to prove himself but realized he might have been too self-absorbed.
Lin Chuan noticed Yamcha's gaze but didn't care.
As a fighter whose power reached the tens of millions, why would he concern himself with someone whose power was just over a thousand?
Let it be!
"Let's leave the catching up after the fight," Lin Chuan suggested.
"Vegeta and Nappa are already here."
Reminded by Lin Chuan, the four warriors looked up sharply.
Nappa and Vegeta had arrived, looking down on them from above.
"Heh heh heh heh! So this is all the fighting power this planet has to offer?"
"Rather than hiding, they gather here... Good! It saves me the trouble of hunting them down one by one."
Nappa rubbed his hands together, his mocking gaze sweeping over them like a hunter eyeing his prey.
"Raditz isn't here, neither is Kakarot! So, the one with the 2500 power level is Namekian, and the 2000 power level brat must be Kakarot's son."
"A power level of 5000, huh! That must be Tarlos. Interesting, he didn't run away but bravely showed himself."
Vegeta spoke, quickly assessing everyone present with a glance.
"Though I don't know where Raditz and Kakarot have run off to, leaving their son here to die is typical of lower-level fighters."
Nappa's tone was full of arrogance and disdain.
In his view, they were as good as dead.
"It's better not to be too careless, Nappa! Remember, they all know how to manipulate their power levels, and with Tarlos at 5000, these Earthlings are not without skill."
As they descended slowly, landing about ten meters away from everyone, their conversation ended.
