Chapter 65 - Go To Planet Namek

Earth.

After Lin Chuan brought Gohan and Piccolo back, Bulma took another two days to gather all the necessary supplies for their interstellar journey. Ideally, they could have departed earlier, but they took extra time to ensure a comfortable trip across the stars.

This was mainly due to Bulma and Chi-Chi's needs. For Lin Chuan, Piccolo, and Gohan, the length of the interstellar journey was immaterial as they would spend it training anyway. Moreover, the trip to their destination would only take about five or six days.

How was the exact location of Planet Namek determined? Naturally, it was thanks to the accurate coordinates available in the spacecraft of Frieza's army. In the original story, they relied on coordinates provided by King Kai and used the spaceship that Piccolo had previously traveled in. With Lin Chuan's arrival, there were many ways to acquire the location.

The coordinates were set for Vega, the 27th star system in the fourth orbit, at SU83 and 9045XY.

...

Is Chi-Chi going, too?

Absolutely! In the original story, Gohan traveled to Planet Namek with Bulma and Krillin, and Chi-Chi was supposed to go but stayed to care for Goku's injuries. This time, there are no injuries or other distractions to keep her away.

Lin Chuan had no objections to her joining. It wouldn't be a big deal for this trip, and she could be pretty helpful in caring for everyone—a role no one could compare with hers. Chi-Chi's portrayal as a homemaker is even more pronounced in the Super era.

It shows that Goku hasn't been attentive enough to his wife; many negative aspects stem from a lack of understanding and communication.

Near the research facility behind the mansion.

The hefty launch base.

After the final batch of supplies was loaded onto the spacecraft, the group of five was ready to go. Seeing them off, they bid farewell to everyone and boarded the spaceship.

This spaceship was different from the one Goku used in the original series. Originally designed by Dr. Brief, the ship's design was modified to a disc shape after some suggestions from Lin Chuan. This shape utilized all available space and allowed for additional unique rooms.

Like Frieza's Emperor-class ship, though much smaller in comparison. This ship was indeed significant, with a diameter of over fifty meters, but Frieza's ship was hundreds of meters in diameter, a massive battle cruiser.

Inside the spaceship.

The first thing they saw was a spacious area used for temporary activities and storage, designed for easy movement of goods and even vehicle parking, although not needed now since all essentials were stored in Hoi-Poi Capsules.

After the last incident with the spaceship turning back from a jet, Bulma had made another improvement to the capsules. She enhanced the capsules to handle more prominent spaces and reduce limitations. At Lin Chuan's suggestion, she also developed portable capsules that could store objects up to a hundred meters in size as long as they were inanimate.

...

They reached the massive central control room by moving forward through a corridor over ten meters long. The room was circular, about fifteen meters in diameter, with heights reaching over ten meters. The space was arranged over two levels, with the first level housing storage, a communal bathroom, a maintenance area, and living quarters. The second level contained leisure areas and several gravity training rooms installed per Lin Chuan's request.

The ship was nearly perfect—a testament to the genius of Bulma and Dr. Brief. Any concept they conceived could be quickly realized.

"Is everyone ready? Our journey to Planet Namek is about to begin," Bulma announced as they prepared to leave.

Lin Chuan and Piccolo felt awkward, while Gohan and Chi-Chi were visibly excited. The calmer personalities, even experiencing something new, maintained their calm without much conversation.

The impact was profound as Lin Chuan unbuckled and walked to the front of the ship to view the universe through a glass-like projection. He had never imagined leaving Earth to embark on a stellar journey.

After completing a low-speed cruise through the solar system to satisfy Gohan's curiosity about the other planets and the Sun, Bulma activated the spaceship's high-speed travel mode.

With the destination locked in, the spaceship's intelligent system took over navigation, marking the start of an advanced, autonomous interstellar journey.

"Six days to Planet Namek. Uncle Lin Chuan, Uncle Piccolo, can we train inside the spaceship during this time?" Gohan asked, knowing Piccolo might feel out of place and thus brought up training to ease the atmosphere.

Lin Chuan smiled understandingly.

Piccolo also smiled, "You really can't stand not training for even a day, can you? I don't mind, but I'm unsure if it's allowed?"

Piccolo looked to Lin Chuan for confirmation.

Hearing this,

Bulma interjected, "I can't believe you guys. We just stabilized the course, and you're already itching to train. Can't you relax a bit? And if you want to train, please use the training room."

"A training room? Oh, I see. Is there a training room on board?" Piccolo was pleasantly surprised.

"I had Bulma make that, especially for long space journeys. Let's go, I'll take you to the gravity training room. I believe you'll find it exciting," Lin Chuan had planned this.

Allowing Piccolo and Gohan to train under gravity for six days would see how much stronger they could become when they reached Planet Namek.
