A lot of dead bodies accumulate in the ground. Jamis, steps over each one of them as he's searching for another prey. The road has been surrounded by the mist, which is smoke from the burning building. Inside the smoke, Jamis noticed the sight of someone with a huge build walking towards him.
Jamis couldn't be sure whether he was a civilian or a bandit. Even if the probability is 90% he's a bandit, he didn't want to blindly shoot someone unarmed inside the smoke. So he decides to raise his voice...
"Stop right there! Put your hands up! And slowly show yourself!" Jamis ordered the man to show himself. The man stops, but that's the only thing he does as he's standing by, staring at the voice that speaks to him.
"Last warning! Slowly show yourself as you raise your hands! Or I'm gonna assume you're one of the bandits and shoot you!" The man didn't follow his order, second later, the fire burned upwards from the man. And then...
(When did he get so close to me?!)
Jamis barely dodged the man's attack with hair breath. Jamis decides to counter by shooting him when the man is not looking. Three shots were fired from his revolver, and the next second he saw the man wearing a helmet before he knocked Jamis off with powerful force.
A brute, one could say, sent Jamis crashing into the collapsed building. Jamis let go of his revolver, and at the same time, he also couldn't move his muscles from the sudden physical trauma he just got. The man grabbed Jamis who was defenseless and almost at the brink of consciousness.
"You... Not strong..." The man is wearing the gauntlet on both his hands, one gauntlet starts gleaming in orange color as the sign he's about to finish Jamis off. But the savior managed to save Jamis at the very last second...
Remilia Overstone, slams her war axe in her barbarian getup on the man, giving a powerful force that made the man lose his grip on Jamis as the shockwave sent him flying. But, even the powerful force didn't make any difference to the man as he was unmoved from where he stood.
"You... are strong... But... Lukewarm..." The man counter Remilia by punching her stomach, but Remilia was able to block the punch with her arm. The force from the punch sent Remilia a few meters back, but Remilia was still standing despite receiving a powerful blow.
(This guy isn't your ordinary bandit! What the hell is that power?!)
As Remilia was in thought, she also saw the light gleaming from the man. And the next second she realized, the man was already in front of her. Giving a powerful blow to the face.
(Gaah! He's fast! As if he's stopping time!)
Remilia is still standing from the punch in the face and proceeds to charge towards the man with the War Axe. The man didn't intend to evade as he blocked it with his gauntlet. Remilia swung the axe a few times, but she couldn't get a good hit on the man.
As time passed by, the man saw the opportunity and he threw a punch. But as the punch was about to reach Remilia, she instantly vanished. From the third person's view, she has changed her clothes to kunoichi as she crouches beneath the fist.
"You're open!" Remilia saw the chance as she gripped the kunai and tried to stab the man's throat. But the man had a high-speed reaction when he dodged it by hair breath. Even so, Remilia had plan B when her attack wasn't hit. Remilia let go of the kunai, the kunai that was tied with some sort of paper with something written on it.
And... it explodes, right in front of the man's face. Remilia was able to get out from the range of the explosion thanks to the costume's trait that gave her high agility.
(A clean hit, for sure!)
Remilia was so sure when the kunai exploded on the man's face, but that thought shattered when the man charged towards her from the explosive.
(What?!)
Remilia's kunoichi costume also gave her a high-speed reaction as she saw the man charging at her. But she wasn't preparing for it. Remilia closes her eyes as the fist is about to land on her.
*BANG!*
The man barely reacts when he sees it, the small, piercing bullet hits his helmet as he's lying on the back. Jamis, with the Remington 700, shot the man in the head. Remilia felt a sense of relief when she saw the scene.
"Remilia! Stay away from him!" Jamis shouts to Remilia, making her felt with a sense of wary again. She looked at the man who was supposedly to be dead. Like she thought, the man didn't move an inch from the spot. But Jamis didn't think so.
"The bullet didn't penetrate the helmet, it might pierced the front part, gone through the brain, and stuck at the back part. But, I can tell when one person is dead. Get up, because I'm about to end you for real in the next shot" Jamis said as he pulled the bolt of the sniper rifle.
As the bolt was pulled, Jamis saw the muscle from the man twitch. In the next moment, the man has already charged in front of him.
(I knew it...)
Before the man was able to touch Jamis, Jamis dropped the smoke bomb that covered the place completely. The man instantly lost sight of Jamis. And then, the sound of gunshot echoes through his ears. In the next second, the man can feel a piercing pain on the back of his left knee.
"For one, aim for the leg to disrupt the mobility." The second shot, pierce the flesh on the back of the right shoulder.
"Two, remove the claw." The third shot, went to the trachea. Which is right below the throat, disrupting the man's ability to being able to breathe.
"The third, is up to you." The smoke is almost gone from the sight, Remilia, comes through the smoke in her barbarian and gets up once again. Lifting her Axe high as she's giving a powerful vertical attack on the shoulder.
