Alex glanced at the screw from the iron door, the screw that held the iron door which was blocking his way forward. And then, the voice echoes inside the room...
"Turn the screw counterclockwise until it's no longer in its place." As Alex commanded, one specific screw had been turning and falling from the iron door. Alex continued to turn the other screw again until the door no longer had the support that held his weight as it fell to the opposite side of Alex.
"I got out, that easily..." Mumble Alex as he stepped on the fallen iron door in front of his supposed to be his prison. Alex looked left and then looked right. He noticed that there was no prison cell near his iron room. Feeling something wasn't right, he questioned it.
"Why isn't other cell placed nearby me? It's weird, it's like this room was made specifically for me. And my hunter instinct is telling me the location of others that were locked in here. It's quite a distance from here and I don't see any cell door inside this hallway either, what's happening...?"
As Alex said, the word 'hunter instinct' is his passive Unique that lets him feel when someone steps on the ground inside his vicinity, that's what he meant by footstep earlier. To describe this ability, it wasn't the bottom of the feet he saw. But instead, it was the dirt that made contact with the feet.
Yes, Alex can't detect any lifeform, but it was the object he could detect, 'ANY' object. "A kid? Hey, you're not with those lunatics, aren't you?" Lunatics, Alex assumes he meant by Miss Sunny, the person who locked him in here underground.
"I'm not, hold on, I'm gonna get you out of here old man."
"Old man?! I'm just in my thirties!"
"Sorry! I didn't think before I spoke." Alex notices the keyhole of the prison door, the whole door is made of iron, but it's not the same kind as Alex's.
