Chapter 118 - Unexpected Side

"Eeeek! I- I didn't mean it!" Derugo, has been lifted as his feet couldn't touch the ground by his collar. And Kiyo, the guy who lifted Derugo, has a really piercing gaze as he stares deep into Derugo's soul. Derugo too, on the other hand, is turned back to his cowardly self before he reveals himself as a Droganoid.

"Then... Look at him, how do you wanna repay all of those incurable injuries with just a sorry huh?!" Veins popped up from Kiyo's head, a rare sight since Ryuma is one of Kyora Akumutsu's close friends who rarely sees the sight of Kiyo being angry.

Ryuma tried to get off his bed but Line who was sitting beside him stopped him from doing so.

"Stopped it, you're only going to make it worse than it is already."

"Line..." Hearing Line's advice, Ryuma decides to not stomp on between them. But he's still slowly comes up from his bed. Ryuma counted how many people were there, but it turned out that 'all' of his classmates weren't in the infirmary. Perhaps they have their own things or they just don't want to visit their recent 'Dead' classmate since they'll meet again sooner or later.

At the corner of the room, he noticed the two people lying on the two different beds, covered in bandages and stuff. Rioga Tenjiro, part of his arm and leg were the only ones covered with bandages. Meanwhile, Mika was wrapped in bandages on almost every part of his body, making himself look like the mummy.

(Maybe that's the reason Kiyo is so angry he lifted the person that this to both of them. He really cares about his friends in particular, but mostly he's been sticking to Mika like glue ever since 'that' incident.)

The thought Ryuma has about Kiyo comes to an end when he sees the person he's not expecting to stand by Mika while holding onto his chin, thinking about something...

(Ten... is he worried about them? And what is he thinking right now?)

As Ryuma thought that, he instinctively walked to the corner where there were the two injured people and also Ten who stood beside them. From his behavior, he does not any attention to help Derugo who had a rough time with Kiyo. As Ryuma tries to open his mouth, somebody else interrupts Ryuma from behind as he's calling out to Ten.

"I didn't expect you to be the type to watch over your dear junior you know?" 'He beat me to it.' That's what Ryuma thought when he saw one of his classmates, Rudy, talking to Ten from behind. But Ten didn't respond to Rudy's words but continued to stare at Mika who's been wrapped like a mummy.

"I don't understand how this happened... Say, Ryuma Ochirou, do you or did you do something to them when you were all in your soul form?" A question from Ten made Ryuma confused. What did he do? All he remembers is only worrying about their condition. But then, a certain voice interrupts them from the opposite of the room.

"To be truth, Ten..." Alex, who just got up as he's lying on the bed opposite of them, tells them everything that happened while they were in their soul form. Ten's eyes widened, as Ryuma saw his expression, at that time he thought to himself.

(Perhaps, this is his expression when he finds something new or sees something unexpected.)

"I see... I didn't see any logic in doing this, so I never even thought about this..." Ten's eyes deviated towards Kiyo and Derugo, he then walked over to both of them.

"It's about time you both settle your thing. And Kiyo, my apologies about the two of your friends. As compensation, take these..." Ten handed the one handful of gold coins inside the bag size of balls. Kiyo takes the bag of gold, but he tosses it over to Rudy. Rudy almost falls due to the imbalance and the weight of these gold bags.

"Sorry, I had a deal with him." A deal for Rudy to help them train to fight against Ten's group. But 1 week is a short time to fight someone who's stronger and has more experience than them, but they indeed got a little bit stronger from his training. Rudy too, never expected them to win against Ten's group as he realized that Ten handicapped them too much.

So as a joke, right before Rudy helped them, Rudy demanded 80% of their winning money if they happened to win against Ten. Perhaps, free money to Rudy from the start since Ten handicapped himself too much.

"I can see that..." Said Ten as he grabbed Kiyo's shoulder.

"You can let go of him for now, I too was at fault since I brought him in Deathmatch, to begin with. If you're angry with him, let it go to me." Ten looked into Kiyo's eyes as he said that. Kiyo calmed himself a bit, but then he threw Derugo over to the wall. Ten anticipates Kiyo's decision. He then walked to Derugo to help himself up.

"Wow... I never thought that guy was so strong to throw someone like that." Said Rudy.

"With that build, how did you not expect him to throw someone with that impact?" Ryuma replies to Rudy.

"I mean, he was the weakest of your four, physically."

"Wait, for real? Ryuma's head turned to Rudy as he said that. Indicates that he never thought Kiyo was the weakest out of the four, but that doesn't indicate that he's weak himself.

"Well, I had a good eye when seeing someone's inner strength. But he's definitely someone you don't wanna mess with. Oh also, dinner on me tonight, of course with this money, hihihi~" Rudy hurriedly left the infirmary while holding onto the bag full of gold coins.

Ryuma, thinking to himself, has Kiyo ever gone all out when he's fighting? No, definitely not, since he's the type to take it easy most of the time.

(I'll talk to him about this later...)

With that in mind, Ryuma gave one last look to the two of their unfortunate friends who had been covered in bandages before getting Kiyo and leaving the infirmary.

...

(I'm full, Rudy really spent half of those gold coins to buy the whole set of barbecue. Urk, I almost vomited...)

Ryuma is walking in the long, dark hallway. Illuminated by the full moon, he then opened the door among the hallways. Kiyo, one of his childhood friends was sitting by the table. And Ten, the guy he just met not long ago, leaning by the window which is also illuminated by the gaze of the full moon.
