Ryuma fell to the ground as he was vomiting blood at the same time. Kiyo who witnessed the scene has his bad intuition come true. Kiyo hurriedly dragged Ryuma back as they both took cover.
(Looks like my intuition was right, I haven't heard the sound of the bullet hitting the wall when he shot. But it's weird, Flow Of The Wind can detect the incoming attack including the bullet. But when the shooter shoots towards us... I don't know if I'm getting this right, but the bullet stops midway. As Ryuma goes to rush the shooter, the bullet goes to him from the exact same spot it stopped...)
Ryuma, who was lying on Kiyo's lap with the bullet hole in the lower part of his chest started coughing. As he opened his eyes, he tried to get up but the pain from the bullet wound prevented him from doing so.
"Arrgh, I didn't hear the sound of a gunshot... What is happening?!" And then, a few shots can be heard nearby, it looks like the shooter, Alex, tried to shoot them blindly without knowing their location.
"Kuh, now he tried to shoot us through the wall?..." Said Ryuma with a rough voice as he coughed some of the blood.
"No, I'm afraid it's going to be more complicated than a simple blind shot," Kiyo answered Ryuma as he tried to take a peek through the corner. But as his eyes were closer and closer to the corner...
(It's coming!) As Kiyo thought, he leaned to the back. At the same time, one bullet comes from Alex's direction without any noise of gunshot. Hitting the wall at the corner, some of the dust flew into Kiyo's eyes. Ryuma who's seen the bizarre scene started to speak.
"It's happening again, there's no sound of a gunshot this time either!" Kiyo started to brush off the dust in his eyes as he spoke...
"Those bullets that were fired, six bullets in total. My radar detects the movable object within a certain range, and it goes the same for the fast-moving bullet, that's why I'm able to react in time. But I sense this bullet, it doesn't hit anything but instead, they stopped in midair."
"Midair?" Second later, Ryuma noticed the crack in the wall. The crack leaves a small hole enough for Ryuma to see behind the wall, the wall that separates between Alex and themself. As Ryuma saw, Alex's leg can be seen exposed behind the rubble of debris. But there's another thing that Ryuma just saw.
"What you just said was right Kiyo, because these bullets are..." Floating in the air? Not quite, because those bullets didn't even move slightly. As if the time were stopped for the bullets.
"I see, that thing probably happened because of his Unique. At this time, we can't proceed to rush the shooters. We need to take the other route-" As Kiyo was speaking, his Flow Of The Wind had sensed one of the bullets was moving at a fast speed towards the corner. Kiyo leaned his back more, away from the corner because he didn't want to get the dust in his eyes again.
But Kiyo didn't expect at the moment, the moment the bullets started to deviate towards his head.
"What?!" Kiyo let his guard down, but just barely... Yes, barely... The bullet scratches his left cheek, to blow off his left ear. As the bullet hit the wall inside the closed space, Kiyo touched the bloody ear that had been blown off by the bullet as he groaned in pain.
...
(Yes! I can hear the noise behind that wall! They're definitely there!)
"Then! I'll send the rest of the bullet to that spot! GO!" Shouts Alex behind the debris. The four more bullets which are in the air started moving at a fast speed, and then all of them deviated to the right, which is the location where both Kiyo and Ryuma are.
The bullet disappeared into the closed space, and there was no response as Alex peeked through the debris.
(Do I get them? ...No, they anticipated I was going to send the bullets that way and decided to move further back.) Thought Alex as he shot his Mosin Nagant three more times. As the bullet comes out from its barrel, the bullet immediately stops as if the time itself were stopped. And then Alex opened his mouth.
"Move forward by 8.6 meters then deviate to 48 degrees to the right!" As the words come out from Alex, the bullet was moving at the same pace the bullet was moving at first, then they deviated to the right as Alex said. But, there's still a mystery in this case, how did Alex know about their exact location? The answer is Alex is the only one who knows as he kept it to himself.
...
"It was close..." Ryuma and Kiyo separated from each other in a distance, and there were three holes in the wall between them, the same amount as Alex had just shot earlier. As Alex thought, they anticipated his attack as they moved to the further side of the space. But the question that appeared in their mind was, how did Alex find their exact location as the bullet was coming right between them?
Was it perhaps an intuition? They both don't know the real answer to it. Ryuma kicked the cracked wall and led them to the open space. The two decide to use this opportunity to leave Alex's range attack.
As they both ran, Ryuma said something as he thought about it.
"Kiyo, does the bullet leave the hole that big? It's about the same size as my fist."
"I'm not sure, it might be because of the fragile wall, but the bullets usually don't pass through the concrete that easily. And all of the shots that hit the wall leave the view to the other side."
"I see..." At that moment, Kiyo senses something using the Flow Of The Wind. He turned his back and saw the rolling stone on the floor. The rock kept coming towards them as they both ran like it had a mind of its own.
Kiyo's eyes were locked on the bizarre rolling stone that was about the size of a baseball. As the stone was rolling, Kiyo noticed something that had been stuck on one side of the stone. He immediately realized what it was.
"RUN!!!"
*BOOM!*
