The moment Nicole shouted, Shay froze in place. He was also too shocked to react. It was only after shouting that Nicole realized what she had done. She instantly felt guilty. She had tried fighting off that nightmare, but she couldn't. She was sure she had hurt him.
"I'm sorry." Shay said and got off her. He was planning to get off the bed. Maybe even just his face was enough to remind her of the bad things he had done to her.
Nicole watched him.No, she couldn't allow him to leave. They had just made up for a few days. There's no way she would let the relationship between the two of them become estranged.
"No, don't go." Nicole said with a tremor in her voice. She was really scared this time. It was as if Shay would leave for good once he set his feet out of the bedroom.
"Let go." Shay said coldly as he glanced at the hand that was clasping his tightly.
"No, please." Nicole begged. She was trying her best not to let her tears flow.
