A tall, handsome man who resembled that of a fallen immortal in a white robe that fluttered in the wind was seen standing upright in a large spider web-shaped piece of land that looked as if a small meteorite crash landed.
"Let's see just how much strength this new version of myself in the 15th Stage of Quantum Qi Condensation can now wield." A voice of indifference came out of the immortal like man as he materialized a sword made from lightning Qi elements.
He firmly grasped the formless lightning sword as his brows began to knit together.
"I have always wanted to better hone my skills with the sword, and what better time to do that than after breaking through a major milestone in my cultivation journey?" A small, imperceptible smile almost formed on Azmond's chiseled features as he held the lightning sword with a firm grasp before leaning it up against his chest.
Any onlooker would think that Azmond truly looked like an immortal of the sword after seeing him stand so valiantly while holding a long 2-meter sword that occasionally crackled with electricity coursing throughout it.
"I bet I look cool, huh?" Azmond said to himself with a small, conceited smile as he looked at his current posture before noticing the wind that constantly blew his long white robe all over the place.
"heh, I definitely do." A shit-eating grin emerged on Azmond's face as he admired his current noble posture, with an air of narcissism pervading his aura.
Azmond stayed in that self-appreciating state for a few moments before his mind got back on track and he turned his attention back to the testing of his new strength.
"There is no time to admire my awesomeness for now. I need to know that I am not all bark and no bite."
"I don't want to turn into one of those arrogant young masters I read about in those cultivation novels back on earth, now do I?" Azmond asked himself, with a faint hint of disdain for the young masters he was referring to.
"I am no Young Master Peng." Azmond reassured himself with an earnest expression.
"I am obviously too handsome to be a simple young master." Just as Azmond was starting to get serious, his chauvinistic way of life showed itself.
"...." Even the very world itself was baffled at the amount of shamelessness that was being emitted by one single mortal.
"But, in all seriousness, I really need to start testing my strength before the sun goes down." Azmond realized that he went a little overboard with his egotistical ways and decided to get serious for real this time.
"Let me just start with a simple punch to begin with." Azmond quit goofing around as his cold expression came back in full swing.
Azmond put away his lightning sword and got into a punching stance before taking one step forward and throwing a simple strike that contained around 10% of his total physical strength with no energy augmentations involved.
Whoooosh!
A loud whistling sound was heard as Azmond's punch flew forward.
The ground beneath him began to violently shake as the vibrations produced by Azmond's punch started to chip away at the land underneath.
Azmond's gaze traveled to the target of his punch, and no surprise there—it was another mountain.
'Why does this human always come after us?!?' This mountain, just like all the previous mountains that were subjected to Azmond's abuse, was practically crying tears of blood the moment Azmond's punch approached its huge surface area.
"I am sorry to do this to you, mountain, but this is just how things are in this world. You should've become stronger; you wouldn't have to worry about defending against my attack if you were stronger." Azmond, like the bastard he was, started to lecture the non-sentient mountain while stroking his non-existent beard like some sort of old monster who had been cultivating the way of immortality for tens of thousands of years.
'F*ck you! You crazy son of a bi*ch! What do you mean, 'get stronger'?!? I am a mountain; all that power must've gotten to your crazed mind if you think I have any semblance of control over how strong I am.' The mountain mercilessly insulted Azmond as the effects of Azmond's imminent punch began to affect the mountain, which was still tens of miles away from the strike.
It started with a small tremble, but it got progressively worse as the small tremble turned into a mild earthquake, and that mild earthquake evolved into the mountain, beginning to slowly deteriorate.
The large mountain's many rocky surfaces started to crumble and fall from its high slopes as varying sizes of rockslides were being formed all across it.
Those rockslides turned into entire large pieces of the mountain, beginning to crack and slide off of it as the mountain was becoming significantly smaller than it originally was at an extremely fast rate.
It had not even been a few milliseconds since Azmond launched his strike from tens of miles away, and yet the mountain he was aiming for was already on the verge of collapse before Azmond's strike even reached it.
I bet you could imagine the apocalyptic damage that was being inflicted on the land that separated Azmond from the Mountain.
Everything within a few dozen miles was completely incinerated in a horizontal line between the two eternal arch rivals.
All this damage was caused without Azmond's attack even touching a hard surface.
...…
The culprit of this catastrophe was standing upright, posturing as an ancient sword immortal who knew all things.
That was before his ancient immortal facade faded away and turned into an innocent expression as he viewed all the destruction that was indirectly being caused by him.
He acted like everything happening right now had absolutely nothing to do with him...
