The sabotage issue at Brilliancia was easily dealt which infuriated Rachel. She paid that woman a hefty amount of money to cause a scene in Brilliancia's booth, but she hadn't expected Penelope would step forward and dealt with the problem spot on. It was different from the old Penelope she was accustomed to and wondered if Penelope Dimitriou had finally grown some backbone to stand up for herself. Still, it wouldn't change the fact that Lance was leaving her for Penelope.
The more she think about it, the more she realized that Lance had been drifting away for quite some time now. Rachel couldn't remember the last time they'd had a meaningful conversation without it devolving into an argument. She knew she had taken him for granted, assuming he would always be there waiting for her to come around. But now, faced with the reality of losing him to Penelope, Rachel felt a pang of regret deep in her chest.
