While Bruce was talking, Ainz couldn't help but think;
'Does that mean if I keep training like this, I can actually become a rank 1 mage in three years? And that's if I keep on training for just four hours, what if I train for five to six hours? I might even become a rank 1 mage in lesser time, and that's because I haven't formed a complete dantain yet!'
As he thought to this point, Ainz wanted to immediately drop the conversation with his master and go back to his room to continue his training, he was already eager to find out how strong he could become once his dantian was completely formed.
The reason why he thought his dantain wasn't in its complete form, was simply because while he was a child of a wyvern and possessed the bloodline of a wyvern king in his veins, a small part of him still possessed the bloodline of an elf, and human, this meant he could cultivate two dantian at the same time,
This was part of the reason why he decided to become a cultivator, because, without a proper body cultivation technique, his body would eventually mutate to that of a magical beast, because there was no balance.
After a while of talking Bruce eventually stopped, and stared at him with a smile.
"Kid, I guess you must have trained the spear art too, right?'
"Yes, master.'
Ainz answered as he nodded, remembering how the spear art was now in his inventory with his other techniques. If he was being honest he was quite eager to test the technique, especially with someone like Bruce who was stronger than him at this point.
"I would like you to show me, then. Don't go easy on me," Bruce dropped the smile on his expression and looked at him.
Ainz simply nodded, in the first place he wasn't planning on going easy on him, since he wanted to test how strong the spear art was, he stood up from where he was and walked towards the weapon shelf, and picked a long spear from among the weapons.
"Master, won't you use a weapon?" Ainz couldn't help but ask.
"Don't worry, there's no need."
Bruce said, putting his left on his waist and raising the other hand out, pointing it at Ainz, when he saw this he couldn't help but smile ruefully this was the first he was fighting that someone had dared not to use everything in their arsenal just to fight him, however, he didn't think much of it, because at this point he wasn't a monarch anymore.
Immediately, as Ainz got into position the atmosphere in the room changed, the atmosphere suddenly became heavier, Ainz felt a little suffocated, he could tell although Bruce seemed like he was carefree and was looking down on him, he could feel it was the exact opposite.
He raised his head and looked at Bruce's stern expression, and then exhaled a long breath, and got into a charging position with the spear in his hand pointing ahead.
Looking at the tense atmosphere, Ainz could tell Bruce was very strong although not as strong as the patriarch or his father Andrew, but he was way stronger than anyone in the outer circle.
Bruce stood unmoving, he didn't even seem like he was breathing anymore, almost as if he had completely transformed into a statue, at this moment he was staring fixedly at Ainz, waiting for him to move.
With his instincts from ten thousand years of fighting, he could tell although Bruce wasn't underestimating him he also wasn't overestimating him either. However, the same thing goes for Ainz, if anything he was even more cautious since his opponent was stronger than he was.
He stared at Bruce intently, since he wasn't being underestimated, Ainz could only charge ahead to test the waters, and see how it goes.
Once decided, Ainz did not waste any more time and simply charged ahead, and in an instant, was right in front of Bruce, aiming for his chest.
"Reckles.."
Was what Bruce was about to say, when he noticed in a moment the spear that was right in front of his chest, was now pointing at his throat, a loud thud immediately resounded with Bruce holding the tip of the spear in his hand.
Ainz found his spear stuck in the hand of Bruce, at this point, even his shoulder was beginning to hurt.
'This kid.' Bruce briefly thought, before he ordered. "Again!"
Bruce let go of the spear, swinging the spear to the side Ainz once again went back to his attacking position, then pointed the spear at him again before charging ahead, as if he to confirm Bruce's suspicious, this time the moment he noticed the slight movement from his muscle, Ainz charged ahead and twisted the spear, to every open area he could see.
There was a loud resonation of a Thud sound, each time he did.
He knew a feint could only work once especially when your opponent's ability surpasses yours, if he did it a second time it would be seen through. This time, like he thought, Bruce was prepared, because it now seemed like he could sense where he was going to attack from and end up stopping it before it could get to him.
Just like this, the day went on with Ainz attacking and Bruce defending.
However, in order not to reveal too much, he decided to play it safe. A thud sound could be heard, with his figure moving backward.
'If you want to use a jump attack, make sure you are faster than your opponent.'
'Whenever you think of using your height to your advantage, think again your opponent could also do the same.'
'Before you think of aiming for your opponent's blind spot, realize your opponent is a body cultivator and can clearly sense your attack with their mental energy.'
'Perseverance won't save you, unless you have a finishing move.'
'Charging relentlessly is just stupid, if you can't land a single attack on your opponent.'
Each time Ainz attacked Bruce and failed he would quickly review what he did, and wouldn't use the same method to attack again, thanks to fighting with a strong opponent he was quickly realizing his flaws.
