Although Ainz could tell why Bruce currently had such an expression on his face, he didn't say anything and simply acted like he was being taken aback by his question. Since the substituted mana he had from being a cultivator was limited, Bruce had always forbidden him from using it during their spar and during his personal training.
Ainz hadn't formed a proper mana core of a cultivator so he could not properly increase his substitute mana, since Bruce knew this, he decided to forbid him from using mana and instead let him focus on training his body.
