When Ainz finally got his hand on the book he couldn't help but be excited, this was one of the reasons he had decided to show his talent early.
However, while he did find the book related to what he was looking for, he realized the book had no title nor was the name of the author written nor stated. In fact, it was even placed randomly among the books in the library, so when he found it he was surprised.
Ains wonder, if this was done intentionally or not, another thing he noticed was the fact, that it wasn't written as if the the author of the book wanted others to understand it, nevertheless, he was able to decipher it because of 'all tongues' got from the system
As he went through the book, he realized the book was written by a cultivator who wanted to spread information about cultivators, however, that wasn't all to the book since it also talked about the fact cultivators, were not the only existence in the world, besides cultivators there were also humans referred to as wizards, this were people who could use the element of the world to cause large amount of destructions.
They were not as physically strong as cultivators, but they were able to cause a wider area of damage than even the cultivators themselves. According to the author of the book, the energy of the world is referred to as mana, and both the cultivators and wizards could use and store manas in their bodies albeit in different places.
While the cultivators could use mana to empower their bodies, and their martial technique, the wizards instead, could use them to empower their spells.
And although both cultivators and wizards, were said to be different sides of a coin, the wizards were often more said to overpower the cultivators with their spells, however, if the cultivator could master their martial techniques they were said to be nigh-invulnerable to any spells.
There were also 7 types of elements in this world, light, darkness, fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning, and someone's aptitude for any of the elements was decided at birth and genes.
Generally speaking, everyone has the aptitude towards one element, never two, yet the difference in mental energy determines their ability to perfect the use of their elements.
While Ainz was currently having a lesson with Olivia, about the territories of the Kalamas family in their lesson room, his attention instead was on the book as he contemplated with a confused look, it wasn't as if he didn't understand what was written, in fact he was sure to be even more knowledgeable than the person that had written the book.
However, the reason why he was confused was because the part of the elements of the world felt like gibberish to him, while he felt it wasn't complete he felt the author might not have reached the level to discover the other elements or rather this world only had 7 elements as it was written in the book.
Besides, cultivators and wizards, there were also magical beasts, while Ainz thought magical beasts were like demonic beasts in the underworld, he didn't dwell on it and just kept reading, magical beasts in this world just like cultivators and wizards, had an innate ability to manipulate and absorb the world energy faster 'Mana', compared to humans who have to go through the process of training they could instead use it naturally from birth.
According to the book and what he knew, the reason for this was their bloodline, it was said to be five to ten times thicker than that of humans.
However, while their bloodline gave them an edge, in regards to naturally using mana from birth, most of them lacked intelligence.
While humans were slow to understand mana, they were able to devise a method to quickly overcome their shortcomings, which were their techniques and special devices.
Most of these things Ainz already knew them, but the fact he was no longer a monarch nor in the underworld, meant he needed to know them to broaden his knowledge.
But what he did not understand was why the book was placed randomly, was it that whoever had placed the book in the library had no idea it had such information in it?
However, while he thought like that he also knew the best the book could do was give a general understanding of mana, cultivators, wizards, and magical beasts, and nothing more. He was sure it was the reason why the book was placed so randomly.
'Considering both cultivators and wizards, are different sides of the same coin, I wonder which one I should go for in this world. Back when I was still a monarch and in the underworld, if I were to describe myself, it would be a cultivator who could use a spell like a wizard, considering I not only had a strong body like one, I could also summon undead.'
Ainz couldn't help but think, that this world wasn't the same as the underworld, he didn't know if he could do the same thing he did back when he was there. However, the fact he now knew little of this world, made him happy.
At least he could now determine which path to take, even though he could already tell which path he was at this point, he wouldn't mind exploring other field.
For now, it could be said he was taking the path of a cultivator, he had been lucky enough to cultivate the high-grade technique of the wyvern king, and even become its descendant after it died.
Meanwhile, Olivia couldn't help noticing that while she had been teaching Ainz instead was engrossed with something else, she noticed from faking his attention to what she was teaching, he gradually lost focus and just stared blankly at the book in front of him.
Olivia frowned, but didn't do anything she wanted to see how much he was engrossed with the book, so she walked quietly towards Ainz, and stared at the book he was reading, however, when she looked at the book she noticed it was written in letters that were hard to decipher.
A bit enraged that Ainz was fooling her to avoid her lesson, she swung her hand at the back of his head.
