I blinked my eyes open, the harsh fluorescent lights of the hospital room casting a sterile glow upon unfamiliar surroundings.
Confusion clouded my mind as I surveyed the room, the beeping of medical equipment and the scent of antiseptic assaulting my senses.
Where was I? How had I come to be here?
I shifted uncomfortably in the hospital bed, the weight of unfamiliar sheets pressing against my body.
Tubes and wires snaked from my arms, tethering me to machines whose purpose eluded me.
Each movement sent waves of pain rippling through me, a reminder of the ordeal I had endured.
"What the hell is this...?!?! Where am i ?!?!" I said to my self, in panic.
I noticed my heartbeat rising and a small "beep" was sounding at the same time.
I kept looking around , trying to figure out where i was.
I couldn't find any other explanation.
I wanted to break free from everyuthing but ... my body was too weak.
I couldn't move so much, so i kept analyzing the situation, trying to remember what happened and to calm down a bit.
Fragments of memory flickered in the recesses of my mind—a battle, a betrayal, a journey through realms unknown.
But they were like pieces of a puzzle scattered in the fog of confusion, refusing to form a coherent picture.
With a groan, I attempted to sit up, the effort leaving me weak and disoriented.
It was then that I noticed the presence of figures hovering at the edges of my vision—medical professionals clad in scrubs and lab coats, their faces a mix of concern and curiosity.
"Who are they...? Doctors...? Yes... they are wearing the same white dress that they use in the Capital's hospital..."
One of them, a doctor with kind eyes and a reassuring smile, approached me slowly, as if afraid of startling me.
"You're awake," she said, her voice a gentle reassurance amidst the chaos of my thoughts.
I nodded weakly, struggling to find my voice amidst the maelstrom of questions that swirled within me. "
Where... where am I?" I managed to croak, the words feeling foreign on my tongue.
The doctor exchanged a glance with her colleagues before turning back to me, her expression sympathetic.
"You're in the hospital," she explained patiently. "You've been unconscious for quite some time."
Unconscious? The word echoed in my mind, triggering a flood of fragmented memories—the battle, the fall, the darkness that had swallowed me whole.
But try as I might, I could not grasp the full extent of what had transpired.
As the doctors continued their examination, probing and prodding with gentle precision, I found myself adrift in a sea of uncertainty.
What had brought me to this place? And more importantly, what lay ahead in this strange new world that had become my reality?
With each passing moment, the answers remained elusive, hidden behind a veil of pain and confusion.
But one thing was certain—I had awoken to a world unknown, and the journey to uncover its secrets had only just begun.
"D-Doctor." I said.
"Yes? Tell me." She gently said.
"Where are Sakura and Dakura?" I asked , gulping.
The doctor remained silent and looked down.
"D-Doctor... Whe-" My voice got interrupted.
"Who are Sakura and Dakura?" She asked.
At that exact moment, my heart frozen in shock.
I was stunned.
Her words literally pierced trough my soul, like sharp knives.
"Oh." I said, while laying my head on the cuscion.
"Stay still... stay still and relax, your heartbeat is rising. I'm gonna call all of your family now." The doctor said before leaving my room.
I was alone, still not knowing where i was.
"Ah..Ahaha~" i let out an hysterical laugh.
"What the hell happened to me...?" I said, while shedding some tears...
~After twenty minutes~
I kept staring at the roof for a while.
"At least this bed is very comfortable." I said.
As I lay there, enveloped in a haze of uncertainty, a flurry of movement caught my attention—a young woman bursting into the room with a sense of urgency that seemed to mirror the tumult within me.
Her eyes, glistening with unshed tears, held a depth of emotion that stirred something within me—a flicker of recognition, a whisper of connection that defied explanation.
Without a word, she rushed to my bedside, her breaths coming in ragged gasps as she reached out to touch my hand.
"You're awake," she choked out, her voice trembling with a mix of relief and sorrow.
I gazed at her, a sense of familiarity washing over me like a wave crashing against the shore.
Though I could not place her, there was a resonance between us—a silent understanding that transcended the barriers of time and memory.
Before I could speak, she began to sob, her words tumbling out in a torrent of emotion.
"You've been in a coma for a year," she explained, her voice choked with tears. "I thought... I thought I had lost you forever."
Her words hung heavy in the air, each syllable a weight upon my heart.
A year? It seemed inconceivable, a gaping chasm of time lost to the void. Yet, as I looked into her tear-stained face, I sensed the truth of her words—a truth that resonated with the fragments of memory that swirled within me.
"I was never in coma. I was marrying Sakura and Dakura just five minutes ago. WHAT THE HELL WAS HAPPENING? WHO'S THIS GIRL!??!" I thought in my mind, despite having a totally relaxed face.
As I gazed into her tear-filled eyes, a pang of guilt washed over me at the sight of her distress.
She was hurting, and though I didn't understand why, I felt a deep sense of responsibility to ease her pain.
"Who are you?" I asked softly, my voice laced with a tinge of uncertainty.
Her tears flowed even more freely at my question, and she shook her head as if unable to comprehend my words.
"You don't remember, do you? The doctor said that you had a memory loss..." she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.
With a heavy heart, she took a deep breath before speaking again.
"I'm Aria," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "And I'm... I'm your girlfriend."
The words hung in the air between us, heavy with unspoken implications.
Girlfriend? The term sparked a flicker of recognition within me, a sense of intimacy and connection that transcended the boundaries of memory.
"G-I-R-L-F-R-I-E-N-D? SHE SAID GIRLFRIEND?!?!" I tought.
Aria kept holding and caressing my left hand.
Her grip was weak but soft.
She was crying from joy and pain. That's what i could tell.
Despite not knowing her, i felt a very high sense of familiarity with Aria... Who knows why.
"A-Ar-Aria... M-M-my girlfriend..." I mumbled, pretending to be the one with memory loss.
I didn't want to break that poor girl's heart by acting like i really had no idea of who she was.
"Y-Yes... Yes, Ryu. I'm Aria. Your beloved girlfriend." She said before giving me a big hug and snuggling into my shoulder.
"W-What should i do now?!?! This is so embarassing! I thought."
Little bit i know that my journey was just at the beginning.
