Chapter 1 - The world

In this vast expanse of the universe, there exists a multitude of planets, but none quite as remarkable as the Yuovn planet. This celestial body serves as a dwelling for both humans and beasts who dedicate themselves to the art of cultivation. As they progress in their cultivation journey, they reach a point where they require beast rings to advance to the next level. The efficacy of these rings is determined by the type of beast and the martial soul possessed by the individual.

Yuovn planet is comprised of several continents, with the largest one known as Aisa. Within Aisa, five kingdoms reign supreme, each governed by a specific family that has inherited the same martial soul throughout generations. These families are referred to as clans and boast rich historical backgrounds.

The martial souls bestow various abilities upon their bearers, depending on their type. A plant soul can be harnessed for nourishment, a tool soul aids in labor, and a beast soul is utilized for combat. On the refined continent, an organization called Hsitirb seeks to establish dominance over the other four kingdoms.

The largest kingdom, Aissur, is followed by Anihc, Aidni, Hkazak, and Hsitirb, which controls the Hsitirb Organization.

The Aissur royal family possesses the Ice Bear as their martial soul, while Anihc's martial soul is the Dragon. Aidni's martial soul is the Ox, Hkazak's is the Owl, and Histrib's is the Spider. Numerous other clans also reside within these kingdoms.

Our story commences with the birth of Ji Long, a young boy blessed with a twin martial soul. Currently, he resides in a humble village alongside his father, who toils in the fields.

One fateful day, the village leader pays a visit to their humble abode and requests Ji Long's father's permission for him to undergo a martial soul verification conducted by a representative from the Histrib Organization.

The following day, all the eight-year-old children from the village gather at an ancient hall, where an elder arrives to perform the soul opening ceremony. Placing a unique stone, possessing the power to activate the martial soul, on their right arms, the elder sets the stage for their destinies to unfold.

The ceremony commences, and the initial child is unveiled to possess the Pickle martial soul with a level 3 affinity. The affinity state determines the grade at which the soul merges with the individual and the level they can attain. Therefore, a level 3 affinity signifies that they can reach a maximum level of 30. The remaining few individuals either possess the hoe sickle martial soul with a level 2 or 3. One young girl undergoes testing and is discovered to possess the Fox martial soul with complete affinity. Lastly, Ji Long possesses the Carrot martial soul, which is regarded as the lowest food soul, but astonishes the elder with its full affinity.

In addition, Ji Long also senses another martial soul in his other hand. Following the ceremony, the elder takes the girl with the fox martial soul to speak with her parents. The rest of the attendees depart from the hall and return to their homes. Upon reaching his father, Ji Long inquires about his own martial soul. His father informs him about the carrot martial soul, but Ji Long surprises him by revealing the presence of another martial soul in his other hand. It is none other than the Plough martial soul.
