In her half consciousness she could hear the drops of fading rain and as she opens her eyes she could hear echoes from voices passing by. Opening her eyes, she tosses back and forth on her bed before finally dragging herself off the bed. She looks out the window and takes in the smell left behind after a heavy downpour. She stays there and enjoyed the feeling for a moment before closing back the curtains.
Time check and it was 8 in the morning of Saturday. She sighs deeply as she does a mental check of what she will do today. She remembered the pile of clothes that needs washing and her personal hygiene that needs attending to. She grumbles slightly as she picks up the clothes and begins to sort them out.
It's almost 6pm and she's ready to socialize. She takes a final look at herself in the mirror. Impressed with what she saw, she heads out to the venue.
"Hi Jenny" a soft voice calls out. She stares for a moment before realizing that was her name and it was her friend Ruth calling her from across the road.
"Hello Ruth" Jennifer responds and gives her friend a hug. The two ladies assess each other's outfits, satisfied with their looks they laugh and head into the party.
