Chapter 5 - The troublemaker from the Chi Family

"Yes, I'll drop by," she said through gritted teeth.

Instead of being happy and grateful that he had called, she felt angry instead. Chi Yun feels so much resentment towards her father, and it's hard for her to even be around him.

Lin Xin, who was walking beside her, was curious as to why Chi Yun's mood plummeted. "Yunyun, did something happen? Are you okay?"

Chi Yun massaged her temple. "No, it's just that I can't hang out with you today."

"Did something happen? I can drop you off where you'll go," Lin Xin offered.

Chi Yun sighed before nodding. "Then I need to trouble you to drop me off at Shingzhi Villa."

On their way to the Shinghi Villa, they were talking about random things.

After 15 minutes, they arrived at their destination. The driver stopped and said, "Sorry, Miss, I can't drive any further. You will have to walk for a few steps."

The rules at Shingzhi Villa remained the same. All cars other than the residents' cars would have to stop.

Chi Yun smiled lightly and thanked Lin Xin.

The deja vu of returning home filled her heart. She walked toward the guard house but was blocked by the guards.

"Miss, you don't look like someone who lives here. Did someone bring you here? "The security guard's tone was disrespectful; it was obvious that he didn't respect her.

Just at that moment, a stunning model of a Volkswagen hurdled toward them. Under the sunlight, it reflected a harsh beam, which hurt one's eyes.

The security guard knew who the owner was just by looking at the car. He ignored Chi Yun and greeted the man in the car politely. "Hello, Mr. Chi."

The car window was rolled down, and a man in his mid-thirties entered Chi Yun's vision.

The man was wearing a black suit. The sunglasses covered half of his face, and though he was already in his thirties, he was still attractive.

The man nodded slightly, and his eyes fell on Chi Yun. Although he had his sunglasses on, Chi Yun felt uneasy with him looking at her.

Seeing her frown, the man stared at Chi Yun. He smiled and asked. "Yunyun? When did you arrive? "

Chi Yun was a little doubtful, since he knew her. She probed. "I'm sorry. May I know who you are, please? "

The man took his sunglasses off slowly and revealed familiar eyes.

When Chi Yun saw his eyes, she was startled. It was Chi Rui, his father's younger brother.

"Uncle?"

"Yunyun, you have really become heartless after being abroad for almost 7 years. It must be your grandparents influence."

"Uncle, I've just returned last week. The security guard probably doesn't know who I am. Could you please bring me in? "

The security guard was terrified as he listened to their conversation. It was obvious that they knew each other; just by how the girl addressed Mr. Chi, they must be related. No, that girl must be the Second Miss of the Chi family. How could he possibly dare to offend these young masters and young mistresses here?

After a while, Chi Yun saw the Chi Residence. The vintage wrought iron gate was open.

The moment she walked into the courtyard, she saw a silver pagani, a cherry red Cayenne, and a sapphire blue Infiniti sports car.

A gorgeous villa sat on a large piece of private property, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and plants. The architecture was incredible, and it was filled with the finest quality furniture, decor, and decorations.

She walked past the entrance, and before she could reach the living hall, she could hear murmurs from the inside.

There, she saw Old Master Chi and Old Madam Chi.

When the two of them saw Chi Yun, who was now twice her size when they last saw her, they teared up.

When Chi Yun saw Old Madam Chi and Old Master Chi, her expression softened. She called them. "Grandma, Grandpa. Why are you two tearing up? Grandpa, if outsiders find out that you're crying, they'll laugh at our family." Chi Yun tried to lighten up the mood.

Old Master Chi pretended to be angry. "Who would dare?"

Chi Yun chipped. "Right."

Then Chi Yu looked around. She saw a man in his late forties; he was Chi Xiao, her father. Then she saw a woman in her forties and a girl who seemed to be around her age or older.

Chi Yun nodded and looked away.

Old Madam Chi dragged her to the table next to her. "Why are you still standing? Xiao-er[1]: Why are you so thin? Did people in the Zeran not feed you?"

The three of them were harmonious.

"Where are you staying right now, Xiao-yu?" Old Master Chi asked.

"Well, I'm currently residing in a Ring Road[2]."

"Why don't you move into the old mansion?" Old Madam Chi suggested.

Chi Yun chewed her food before answering. "Sure, grandma, I can move next week," she paused. "By the way, where are the others?"

"You mean your brothers and sister?" Old Madam Chi asked.

She nodded.

Old Madam Chi sighed. "Don't get me started with those ungrateful brats. They don't even visit, and that brother of yours is a troublemaker, I tell you. There's not a month that his teachers won't talk to me." She massaged her temples in frustration.

After dinner, she bid farewell to everyone and promised to be back tomorrow after class.

...

The following day, she arrived at her grandparents' mansion earlier than usual since she didn't have anything else to do. But when she arrived, they weren't home.

"Miss, your grandparents aren't here yet; they're still on their way home." One of the servants notified her as she just nodded.

She took a seat in the lounge and began to wait patiently for her grandparents to arrive.

After only waiting for a few minutes, the telephone next to her began ringing. It didn't stop, so she decided to answer it.

"Hello, Hello... Old Madam Chi? "A male voice came from the other end of the phone. It was cautious and seemed to be embarrassed.

"Uhm... Hello, this is Chi Yun, the Chi family's second miss. Grandma isn't here yet," Chi Yun said.

"Then, Young Miss, can you tell Old Madam Chi when she arrived that Young Master Chi is currently at the police station? He got into a fight with the Young Master Lin. If they won't be home soon, Young Miss, I know this is too much to ask, but can you come to..." As if knowing he was already asking too much, the man on the phone stammered.

Young Master Chi? Chi Wei? Chi Jun? Shouldn't both Chi Wei and Chi Jun still be abroad? How could they get into a fight with Young Master Lin?

Then it hit her! Chi Yun went through the Chi Family Tree and realized Chi Yun was supposed to have a cousin! Among Chi Yun's generation, Chi Yun have an Uncle older than her father, her uncle and auntie died on a plane crash 16 years ago, leaving only their two son. Although the man was technically half a year older than Chi Yun.

Chi Yun's lips twitched. What kind of man is this? He got into a fight and had to rely on his own little sister to go to the station to bail him out. This is so shameful and embarrassing!

She then stood up and left, then told the servants to tell her grandparents that she needed to fetch Young Master Chi.

The servant she notified was one of the servants who watched her and her brothers grow up. So she was naturally startled as she scanned through her mind to figure out who Chi Yun was referring to.

In the end, she came to the same conclusion as Chi Yun. It was Chi Yun's cousin. However, the servant was confused. Even though it was Chi Ya, Chi Yun's mother, who technically raised Chi Caishen, Chi Caishen and Chi Yun always bickered a lot when they were young, not to mention that they haven't seen each other in 7 years.

No one in the Chi family shared a good relationship with Chi Caishen. He was young and arrogant; his favorite hobby when he was young was to step on Chi Yun's toes. Furthermore, if Chi Caishen was in trouble, shouldn't it be Chi Xiao, her father, who should go and help him? Why would he reach out to Chi Yun?

The servant had no idea. Chi Yun waved the cane she was holding; it was Old Master Chi's favorite cane. "I'll also give him a lesson while I'm at it."

The servant's eyes widened when she saw the cane Chi Yun was holding. It was as thick as one's finger.

She has lost her mind!

Young Miss Chi Yun dares to hit Young Master Chi?!

Chi Yun hailed a cab and headed straight for the police station. Chi Yun took a deep breath and told the driver, "Please open the door."

Notes...

1. Xiao-er: means little.

2. Ring Road: runs through the CBD area of Beijing. The apartments there are naturally exorbitantly priced.
