The Lucky Inquisitor continued their journey through the mountain. James shivered in the cold. "Gosh, it's kinda chilly up here," he remarked, rubbing his mittens together for warmth.

"Yeah, the Frozen Slope gets even colder the higher you go," Ace agreed, leading the group as they encountered their first obstacle.

The bridge ahead had collapsed, leaving them with no choice but to find an alternative route.

"Well, it's a dead end," Ace announced, eyes scanning the surroundings.

"I guess we'll have to climb to reach another path." He pointed to a rocky wall that appeared climbable, leading to an alternate route.

With determination, they began their ascent, using their gear to help them navigate the challenging terrain.

As they climbed, the wind grew stronger, threatening to blow them off the mountain. The Lucky Inquisitor clung to the rocky surface, struggling to maintain their grip.

"This wind is insane!" Mianne shouted over the howling gusts.

James, with his determination, responded, "Hold on tight, everyone! We can do this!"

With sheer willpower, they persevered against the relentless wind, inching their way up the mountain.

Just as they were making progress against the mighty wind, Dyssoarth, who had been perched on Mianne's shoulder, suddenly slipped. His tiny claws couldn't hold on against the fierce gusts.

Mianne's reflexes kicked in, and she reached out just in time, grabbing the little dragon before he could plummet down the mountainside.

"Gotcha!" Mianne exclaimed, relief flooding her voice as she carefully secured Dyssoarth back onto her shoulder.

The rest of the team looked back, concern etched across their faces. James shouted, "Is everyone okay?"

Mianne nodded, her heart still racing from the scare. "We're good, just a close call with our little friend here."

They continued their climb, now doubly cautious of the treacherous wind.

The Lucky Inquisitor finally reached the end of their arduous climb, and Ace stood at the alternate path that would have been easily accessible if not for the broken bridge.

"Looks like we made it," Ace remarked with a sense of accomplishment. The others followed closely behind him, breathing heavily from the climb but relieved to have reached this point.

James looked at the path ahead, determination in his eyes. "Now, let's find Elowen and bring her back safely."

However, Sugar's Enterprise seems to be in quite a pickle. With The Golden Captain stopping at the front, of the broken bridge.

"Aw, dammit! We need to find another way!" Sugar command, looking over to Cefie who's searching around their database.

"There's a second entrance if we went around the mountain, an entrance made for only Glacial Vigorous," Cefie stated, giving Sugar a big fat thumbs up.

"Oh good. Alright, let's move it, ladies!" Sugar commands, ready to take off, not realizing how hard it's gonna be to back up since this road is only made for one path.

This settles the awkward silence for about a second before someone finally speaks up

"Okay, let's just go slowly..." Sugar stated that while Toodies tried his best to back up the unicorns. Before suddenly...

The wind of the mountain somehow blew the entire wagon away, leaving the party bewildered and frightened by the experience.

Everyone was panicking while November and Cefie could only just face-palm.

"AAAAAAAAAAA-" All of them scream as they are sent up straight to the sky, making a star sparkle even though it's still morning.

"Woah, what was that?" James heard the scream, kinda curious about what was that scream all about.

"It's probably a hyena or something. Let's just keep going." Ezra stated, that it wasn't really important to the mission if anything.

With renewed resolve, they ventured forward along the path.

The mysterious knight, clad in a mix of fur and ice armor, stood before The Lucky Inquisitors, taunting them with his words.

His helmet bore a blue feather on top, and an ice shard pin adorned his armor.

"Seems like Diremaw's little lapdog came to fetch their precious princess," he sneered, his tone dripping with mockery.

The members of The Lucky Inquisitor exchanged determined glances, their resolve unshaken by the knight's insults.

Ace stepped forward, his expression stern. "We're here to rescue Princess Elowen. Step aside."

The mysterious knight chuckled menacingly. "Rescue? Do you think it's that easy? Glacial Vigorous never surrenders their hostages without a fight."

Ezra stepped up beside Ace, his eyes narrowing. "We don't want trouble, but we won't hesitate to do what's necessary to save her."

The knight drew his ice sword with a wicked grin. "Then prepare yourselves, fools, for a defeat you could've walked away from!"

Suddenly, a group of Glacial Vigorous knights appeared behind their leader, and The Lucky Inquisitors found themselves vastly outnumbered.

Encircled by ice golems, ice mages, and knights clad in the same frigid armor, panic surged through the group.

"Dammit, we're surrounded," James muttered, his eyes darting around for any means of escape.

"They're overwhelming us. We need to get out of here," Ezra said, scanning the area until he spotted a potential opening.

"I might have a plan, but I need all of you to make a run for it," Ezra declared, earning nods of agreement from his companions.

Quick as lightning, Ezra fired a flaming arrow at one of the ice golems, causing it to writhe in agony.

"Go! We have to run, now!" he shouted, urging The Lucky Inquisitors to sprint beneath the flailing arms of the wounded ice golem.

"Dammit, chase after them!" the leader of the Glacial Vigorous knights barked orders at his comrades. Without hesitation, the members of Glacial Vigorous started to pursue The Lucky Inquisitors.

The Inquisitors were sprinting down the treacherous path, the howling wind growing even more fierce.

Suddenly, Mianne lost her footing, letting out a terrified scream as she fell to the side and clung to a jagged rock for dear life.

"MIANNE!" James shouted in alarm, his heart pounding as he rushed back to her, grabbing her hand. Fear and panic gripped Mianne as she desperately clung to James's hand.

Dyssoarth, ever the loyal companion, bit onto James's coat and tugged, attempting to help pull Mianne up.

James exerted all his strength, pulling Mianne to safety. "Hold on tight," he said, as she clung to his neck, her gratitude evident in her eyes.

Without wasting any time, they continued to follow Ezra and Ace, who had chosen to take separate paths inside the mountain cavern.

As they ran, Ace made a quick decision. "You two, go right. We'll take the left," he directed, and James nodded in acknowledgment.

The group split into two pairs, each disappearing into the cavern's dark depths, evading their pursuers from the Glacial Vigorous.

"Where the hell did they go?" the Glacial Vigorous members muttered as they searched for any sign of their quarry, dividing themselves into both paths of the cavern.

Ezra and Ace, now navigating the treacherous cavern's left path, found themselves surrounded by an otherworldly glow.

The cave walls pulsed with an ethereal light, revealing ancient carvings that seemed to tell a story of forgotten magic.

Ace glanced around, his eyes wide with awe. "This place is ancient. Do you think it's connected to Glacial Vigorous?"

Ezra pondered the possibility. "It might hold the key to their power, but we can't explore it now. Our priority is saving Elowen."

Meanwhile, James and Mianne, taking the right path, found themselves in a cavern filled with shimmering crystals. The crystals emitted a soft, calming light, creating an almost mystical atmosphere.

Mianne marveled at the beauty. "This is incredible! Do you think these crystals have any significance?"

James shrugged, "Hard to say, but our focus is on getting through this and rescuing Elowen."

Back on the surface, the Glacial Vigorous knights continued their futile search for The Lucky Inquisitors.

"Spread out and find them! They can't escape the might of Glacial Vigorous!" their leader commanded, frustration evident in his voice.

Inside the cavern, Ezra and Ace pressed on, each step taking them deeper into the heart of the mountain. The air grew colder, and faint echoes of distant chants filled the cavern.

As they advanced, Ace whispered to Ezra, "We'll rendezvous with the others after shaking off our pursuers. Stay sharp, and be ready for anything."

The Inquisitors, determined and resourceful, navigated the mysterious cavern, unaware that they were being watched.

James and Mianne continued their descent down the cavern, the cold seeping deeper into their bones.

"It's so freezing in here..." Mianne muttered, shivering despite the fur coat that offered some protection against the biting cold.

James noticed her discomfort and without hesitation, he removed one of his mittens and handed it to Mianne. "Here, you need it more than me," he said with a warm smile.

Mianne accepted the mitten, her cheeks flushed with gratitude. She giggled softly, "Thank you, James."

He turned to her with a friendly grin. "That's what best friends are for, right?" James replied, and they continued their journey through the chilling cavern together, their bond growing stronger with every step.

As they ventured further into the cavern, the air grew even colder, and their breaths turned into visible puffs of mist.

Mianne, now wearing James's mitten, felt warmer and more comfortable. She glanced over at him, still amazed by his kindness.

"James," she began, her voice tinged with curiosity, "why did you decide to become a guardian?"

James slowed his pace, considering the question. "Well," he started, "it's because I wanted to protect people. I've seen how dangerous the world can be, and I didn't want to stand by and do nothing. Plus, it's an adventure and a strive for the man that inspired me today, right?"

Mianne nodded in agreement. "I can relate to that. I wanted to join you because I wanted to uncover the mysteries of our world and help those in need. It's just... It's not every day you meet someone like you, James. You're so caring and selfless." She'd kept one of the sole reasons for her joining to herself which was her wanting to be with James more.

James chuckled modestly. "I guess that's just who I am. And you're a great friend, Mianne. You're brave and resourceful. We make a good team."

Mianne smiled at his words, feeling grateful for their partnership. "I'm glad I met you, James."

In the corner of Mianne's eye, she felt as though someone was watching them, a shadowy figure lurking in the periphery of her vision.

She turned quickly to confirm her suspicion, but there was no one there.

"James, did you see anything just now?" Mianne asked, a hint of unease in her voice.

James, always ready with a playful spirit, grinned mischievously. "Oh, you mean the shadowy Eldritch, right? Oooo~" He added a comical wiggle to his body, feigning fear.

Mianne couldn't help but chuckle at James's antics. "You're such a goofball, James," she teased, momentarily forgetting her unease.

Together, they continued to descend the stairs, drawing closer to the colossal door shrouded in eerie, icy mist.

"Wow, that's one massive door," James remarked, his eyes tracing the immense structure from top to bottom. It was so exaggeratedly huge that it almost seemed surreal.

Turning to Mianne, he asked, "Are you ready to face whatever lies beyond this door?"

With a firm resolve, Mianne met James's gaze. "Absolutely. With you by my side, we can handle anything that comes our way."

They both placed their hands on the door, their hearts filled with determination.

In unison, they shouted, "Let's go!!!" as they pushed open the colossal door and stepped into the unknown.
