It's a new day for everyone, as everyone who registered yesterday finally became a guardian. The world has opened up for newcomers! Now, let's shift our focus back to our new guardian group, The Lucky Inquisitors!
"Are you sure? We've been walking for an hour now. I feel like an absolute sludge right now..." said Ezra in a very exhausted tone while dragging his feet along.
"Oh, quit your complaints! The fact that we have been walking for an hour doesn't change the fact that we bear the title of the team as the 'Lucky Inquisitors'!" said Ace, both annoyed and exhausted, still not over the childish team name.
"Come on, you two. Cheer up a bit. I feel like you've both been nothing but complaining about the entire trip," scolded Mianne, who wanted everyone to have fun on their new adventure.
Ace let out a 'tch' and decided to watch the forest out of boredom, which raised concern for Mianne, so she decided to approach the person who was closest to him.
"What's wrong with him?" She asked Ezra, concerning a little about her friend.
Ezra, who could only sigh, "His parents expect him to do as great as his brother; I guess that's why he's kinda moody about this." Mianne frowned about this whole thing now.
She knew that Ace's parents were strict and more formal than most, but it was just cruel to rely on your child to do all the dirty work.
Ezra could see her expression and decided to find a way to cheer Ace up, "Maybe, once we come across a duck, we should let him know," which caused Mianne to nod.
Mianne decided to go back to what she's best at doing, "Well, Jamie, what're you gonna do once we reach the town of Nourtuck?" Mianne tried to lighten the mood and break the silence of this trip by starting a conversation.
"Well, I want to take a tour of the town for a bit, and hey, maybe we can help people out!" James stated with a big grin on his face.
"That's very kind of you, James! People need to be more like you in this world," Mianne agreed with James's idea.
Suddenly, a voice came from the bushes, "Haha! I knew it!"
"Well! Well! Well! What do we have here?" said the voice, and suddenly, five goblins wearing robes, with one in a red robe, came out from the bushes, and the rest of them wearing black robes.
"Guess these guys are the newcomer adventurers trying to enter our village without paying!" The lead goblin smirked, which didn't faze any of them.
"Yeah!"
"Humans are bad!"
"Let's kick their asses back to caveman times!"
"I want to go back home..." The rest of the goblins joined in.
"Well, we don't take kindly to your type around here! So go back, or we'll brawl face-to-face right now!" The lead goblin threatened our heroes, The Lucky Inquisitors, which still didn't faze them.
"Yeah, we will beat you up!"
"Go back to where you belong!"
"You won't even have a chance to have a family!"
"Please go away..."
"Well, Jamie, I guess it's time for our first fight as adventurers. Let's make them remember our name!" Mianne stated, pulling out her cleric staff, ready to face the threat in front of them.
"Finally, some action, about damn time," Ace said as he pulled out his sword and shield, with a sigma symbol engraved on them.
"Well, I guess it's time to fight, I guess," Ezra said as he pulled out his bow and arrow.
"Well, Lucky Inquisitors! Let's give these goblins a fight they will remember!" Finally, James said as he brandished his halberd with orange and black colors on it.
"GOBLINS! ATTACK!!!" The lead goblin commanded as all four goblins dashed forward to fight the humans off.
"Protect me! Guardian!" shouted Mianne as she summoned her guardian angel to block the incoming attack and slash back at the goblin.
"Gaagh!" The goblin shouted in pain from the counterattack as it fell, trying to endure the pain.
Mianne, however, was surprised, "Oh hey! I finally got the hang of it!" The Guardian bows to her, which kinda makes Mianne say, "You don't have to do that..."
The guardian stops, and pulls out a sign, 'What's my name?'
Mianne gives it a thought, "Hmmm, maybe Angel?" The Guardian nodded as it disappeared within Mianne's command.
"Damn you!" The second goblin said as he wanted to avenge his fallen brother but failed to notice a bunch of arrows coming toward him. The arrows hit the second goblin in the chest,
"Woo! Perfect Shot! I win." Ezra mocked as he felt like he had already done this before.
"NO! PLEASE! I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU! WAAH-"
"Shield Bash!" Before the scaredy goblin could finish, Ace shield-bashed it away, sending it flying to impact a tree!
"Should've paid more attention to the fight," Ace remarked.
"I will make this road stained with your blood!" The third goblin threatened as it tried to stab James.
"Eye of the Sun!" Jame shouted as he swung his halberd with force, sending the goblin flying into a nearby tree!
"Take this! Relentless Shine!" James said as he started to stab the goblin with his halberd and finished him off by sending him flying away!
"WAH! RUN AWAY!" The four goblin minions ran away in terror of The Lucky Inquisitors.
"Don't run away! You are a disgrace to the Workers of the Defiant if you run away from fights!" The lead goblin shouted, trying to get his goons back into the fight.
"Damn you! I will make sure you won't even get past the gate to Nourtuck!" The lead goblin shouted in aggression as he pulled out his boomerang and jagged dagger, dashing forward toward Mianne!
"Watch out! Protection!" As the lead goblin tried to stab Mianne, Ace protected her with his shield.
"Arrow's Effect: Freeze!" Ezra shouted as he shot an icy arrow at the lead goblin, freezing him in place!
"NO FAIR, NO FAIR. I WANT A REMATCH RIGHT NOW WITH ONLY ONE OF YOU!!!!" The lead goblin shouted in frustration and started to throw a fit!
"Well, that concludes our fight with them. Let's go, we're almost there anyway," Ace stated, pointing toward the direction of the road.
"Woo-hoo! We won! Nourtuck! Here I come!" James celebrated as he started to follow Ace.
"WAIT, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS, I AM SO SORRY, PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE, I WILL DO ANYTHING," The lead goblin shouted in desperation and started to cry, begging the team for help.
"Well, if you want to be free," Ezra said with an idea in his head, "Give us a free tour, and we're even," Ezra said with an evil smile.
"Ok! Ok! Fine! I will do what you want!" Maxwell begged to be let out, and James decided to comply.
"Awww. Why did you do that early?" Ezra's fun was ruined.
"We are guardians, Ezra. And guardians don't torture people who can't fight back themselves." It left a mark on Ezra; he was reminded of something.
Maxwell decided to clean the rest of the ice. "Alright, let's give you guys the tour of our great town!"
"Glad we can come to terms, Maxwell!" Mianne said as the team got a free tour of Nourtuck.
"I'm doing this for my freedom, and besides, my name's Maxwell, not 'Goblin guy,'" Maxwell said, frustrated that he, of all people, had to serve the humans with a town tour.
"Well, here it is. The town for every goblin ever," Maxwell proudly stated.
"Welcome to Nourtuck!"
