Three Days Later
As the group gathered at the port, the imposing silhouette of their ship, the "Dr. Elena," loomed before them. Dr. Elena herself stood nearby, her expression a mix of concern and apprehension. She glanced over at Emily, a protective instinct evident in her eyes.
"Richard, I'm not sure about this," Dr. Elena began, her voice laced with worry. "Emily is still so young, and the dangers they face...I don't want her to get hurt."
As the sun began to set over the port, casting a golden hue over the scene, Richard approached Dr. Elena with a reassuring smile. "Elena, I understand your concerns about Emily. But I want you to know that I'm sending my older son, Julian, to keep a close watch on the trio when they set sail. He'll ensure their safety every step of the way."
Dr. Elena looked up, surprised. "Julian? But why didn't you tell me earlier? I would have felt much better knowing that he'll be there to protect them."
Richard placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I wanted to make sure everything was arranged properly before I told you. Julian is more than capable of looking after them, and I trust him to keep them safe."
Dr. Elena nodded, a sense of relief washing over her. "Thank you, Richard. I appreciate your concern for Emily's well-being. Please, keep them safe out there."
As Emily, James, and Ken said their goodbyes to Dr. Elena and Richard on the port, expressing their gratitude and promising to return safely, Julian emerged from the shadows. He silently followed the trio as they boarded, his presence unnoticed as the ship began its journey, his mission clear: to ensure their safety, no matter the challenges they would face.
