As they wandered, Emily and Ken encountered Emily's classmate, James, a tall and handsome young man known for his genius intellect. However, upon seeing Emily, James became unusually shy, stumbling over his words as he greeted them.
"Hey, Emily. Hey, Ken," James said, his cheeks flushing slightly. "I, uh, didn't expect to see you here."
Ken noticed James's reaction and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. "Who's this, Emily?" he asked, trying to sound casual.
Emily smiled at James, seemingly oblivious to Ken's unease. "This is James, we're in the same class. James, this is Ken."
James nodded, still looking somewhat flustered. "Nice to meet you, Ken," he said, offering his hand.
Ken shook James's hand, forcing a smile. "Likewise. Well, we should probably get going. Nice seeing you, James."
After taking few steps ahead, Emily turned to James with a warm smile. "Would you like to join us, James? We're just going for a walk."
James's eyes lit up with excitement. "Really? I'd love to!"
Ken felt a surge of jealousy as James eagerly accepted Emily's invitation. He couldn't understand why he was feeling this way. Emily was just being friendly, but for some reason, seeing her interact with James made Ken feel uneasy.
As they walked together, Ken couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in his chest. He tried to focus on the conversation, but every time he saw Emily and James laughing together, he felt a pang of jealousy that he couldn't ignore.
