Chapter 89 - I don't have a name for this.

Poking the crackling fire within the cave Naruko would worriedly look over towards Fu, who was still unconscious. 'Hey, hey. Chomei should be picking up the slack and have finished the healing process by now right?'

A deep snort echoed throughout her mind, before the voice of Kurama rose up, 'Unlikely. None of the others have regeneration anywhere close to me - after all, they are inferior. Imagine Shukaku and his pathetic chakra trying to heal his Jinchuriki - him and his 1 pathetic tail.'

Naruko grimaced at that before letting out a sigh. 'So we'll have to get her to a proper medical ninja then. The one Uzumaki thing I'm not particularly talented in is the one I actually need, who would have guessed? At least with your chakra and the very very faint healing Uzumaki chakra I have, we managed to make her not die.'

There was no response to her thoughts, and so she closed her eyes. 'I guess we're traveling back to Konoha with an allied Jinchuriki. Joy. I'm sure Gramps will love that.'

-Sleep!-

The next day when she woke up Naruko could sense the immense chakra inside of Fu was active, fluttering about her system futilely either trying to heal or wake up Fu. "Relax Chomei. Fu is fine - for now. We'll need to get her to a proper medical shinobi to fix the underlying issues before we let her wake up. One wrong move and she could actually die this time." The immense Chakra inside of Fu seemed to wilt and curl up inside of her stomach and then a few moments later went dormant. 'Chomei's chakra is very... expressive.'

'Hyperactive. The word you're looking for is hyperactive. The damn bug never stops talking, moving, and buzzing. Even beneath your paws.'

'You speak of your siblings so kindly Kura-chan! Aww, I knew you were a great brother look how Chomei screamed at you for help with such desperation and trust. I bet you used to protect your siblings all the time. Y'know, it's not a bad thing to admit you used to read them bedtime stories to scare away the bed bu- I mean, the bed birds.'

A rumble echoed throughout her mind before their connection was cut. 'Was it something I said? Rude, y'know!' Getting no response back Naruko smiled while shaking her head, before standing up. "Alrighty, time to find you a medic." Lifting up Fu Naruko would walk out of the cave she had bedded down for the night in and began to head east. 'Konoha or Tsunade, Konoha or Tsunade. Mhm... I should go to Konoha to report in, but what if there's a problem with Fu? So clearly I should go to Tsunade.'  With a wide mischievous grin, she began to head east. 'Eh, I should probably tell Fu's village as well... Eh. It's their fault for letting their Jinchuriki get so banged up! Besides, I'll probably send a messenger Monkey at some point. Probably. Maybe. Eh, we'll see.'

-Hiruzen Sarutobi, after the attack on Kumogakure-

Aged eyes stared out across Konoha, the black tassels on his headband swaying in the gentle wind. Monkey King Enma stood next to him, a blank look on his own aged face. Hiruzen spoke up, eyes still surveying Konoha, before looking beyond, "Report. Where was that sent from?"

An ANBU landed next to them kneeling on the ground, "It's suspected to have been sent to Kumogakure Hokage-sama!"

Hiruzen did not twitch, but his eyes did turn more north. "Is the Commander back yet?"

Another ANBU landed on the ground kneeling, and reported, "He's rapidly approaching Hokage-sama!"

Hiruzen finally nodded. "So Kumogakure was the one who made her go missing. Reports on the location of Jonin Naruko when she fired off the Bijuudama?"

The first ANBU spoke up, "It was within the Land of Jungles, deep within their forests Hokage-sama! Reports should be back within the hour."

Enma snorted slightly. "Interesting that the Seven Tails hasn't reacted to a Bijuudama from the Kyuubi so close to it, don't you think Hiruzen?"

A severe frown pulled across Hiruzen's face as he nodded. "Indeed, you think Kumo attacked the Seven Tails as well, and that's why Naruko went there?"

"Either that, or they attacked Takigakure."

Hiruzen's frown got deeper as his eyes narrowed at Enma's thoughts, "It would take days, maybe even weeks for them to siege Takigakure with their terrain - especially with the Seven Tails Jinchuriki having such a close bond with her Bijuu. How could we not sense that or know anything was going?"

Enma didn't respond verbally, only giving a look, before facing the northwest. Hiruzen got the message, and his hand clenched. 'Nagato - he gave them the Fuinjutsu necessary, but how did they cover up their movements? More importantly, is Kumo working with just him, or are they working with Orochimaru as well?'

Hiruzen's eyes sharpened as he rapidly made multiple decisions, "Send the Guardian squad to Tsunade. Message the Demon Assault Battalion and get them to Kumogakure's borders immediately. Have the Aquatic Assault Battalion split into two - one towards Kumogakure, the other staying at their current position. Finally, have the Alpha Team prepare themselves."

Enma's eyes narrowed slightly at the last bit, but he didn't comment. The ANBU quickly bowed accepting the orders before darting away, seemingly not noticing the aged Monkey King's reaction. "The last time Alpha Team acted..."

At the words from Enma Hiruzen sighed. "Was during the death of Tobirama-sensei, I know. But if Kumogakure really did attempt to take two Jinchuriki... then this is no longer our period to grind away at the weaknesses of our Shinobi, this is no longer the time to allow our Shinobi to gain experience, to get used to war - it's time to remind the world why we stand atop the Five Great Nations."

Enma sighed. "You humans are always at war... It's a shame about that young Uchiha lad, he would have made a fine member of your prized Alpha Team."

Hiruzen's lips flattened out, "Perhaps, but Alpha Team is strong enough without him, after all they have..."
