Chapter 74 - Do you know fear Zabuza Momochi?

-Sai-

Leaning against the wall of the alcove Sai would watch as vibrant blue eyes would snap open, Naruko-sama's head instantly turning towards the south. Standing up properly he'd give her a curious look. Yet, as he did so, she pushed herself off the wall and asked a question out loud, "Do you think Demons feel fear?"

There was a brief moment of silence before Sai asked, "Why do you ask Sensei?"

Turning towards him Naruko-sama would have a glint in her eyes as she said, "You'll see. All of you stay inside of the alcove, this is not a battle for you." With that, she'd walk out of the alcove, and as she did so a vibrant purple barrier erected itself behind her, locking them in.

"Wai-"

Staring for a moment, Sai would let out a small sigh, even as Sakura shouted and Sasuke frowned. "We'll just have to follow Naruko-sama's orders. Besides, we'll be able to see the battle and understand why she said that then."

-Shamini, Chunin-

Like a ghost, his squadmates and he flanked the alcove the targets placed themself in, the entire combat forces of the Company doing the same spreading out all around it.

Yet, as they got into position, a blonde-haired woman in a Konohagakure Jonin flak jacket stepped out of it, and as she did so a purple barrier was erected, completely blocking off the alcove from any attacks. 'Shit! They know! But why'd they send only one?' His brows furrowed he looked towards his squad leader who only shrugged, and then looked towards the platoon leader. The platoon leader however was currently frowning staring deeply at the woman.

Just as Shamini was beginning to fidget, the platoon leader shook his head and looked eastwards deeper into the forest, before at an unseen signal he would snap off a salute. After that, the platoon leader would make hand signs. 'So the attack is still a go.'

The woman stepped away from the alcove, on top of the beach, and then on top of the ocean. Then, she spread her arms a wide smile on her face. "Shinobi of Kiri. I count 95 Chunin, 9 Jonin, 1 Elite Jonin, and one barely Kage-level Shinobi. I have a question for you." 'What is she doing?!?'

The blonde-haired woman's eyes turned sharp as a horrifying chakra presence was felt. Shamini's knees buckled as sweat dripped from his brows. His throat instinctively swallowed. 'No - no! This is impossible. No one can have this much chakra!' The ocean that was gently moving and crashing against the beach simply stopped moving. The smile on the woman turned into some kind of horrifying monstrosity. Her lips were far too wide, and her eyes glowed. 'Who-'

"Do you feel fear? Do you feel fear like you made a mother and child feel when you rigged their house with explosive seals? Do you feel fear like when you made an entire nation succumb to your will? Do you feel fear like that which the world feels knowing that monsters are once more fighting for land and power?" The chakra surged upwards as a yellow aura completely surrounded the woman. All of a sudden the heat began to rise in the area, the ocean began to bubble, and the sand began to melt. The skies darkened as the wind began to whip around in the area. Thunder crackled inside of darkening clouds before with a BOOM! A bolt struck behind the woman.

"Do you feel fear knowing that today you surrounded a singular Jonin, one chunin, two genin, and 3 civilians in the hopes of killing them, yet you'll still die?"

All of them were frozen - unable to move as the yellow aura grew and grew, beginning to gain tentacles that writhed and wriggled about.

"Stop the games, Yamanaka!"

"Enough of that."

At the same exact time, two voices sounded out. One was loud, booming, and authoritative. The other was soft, gentle, yet filled with power. A bandaged man with a titanic blade held in one hand appeared on a tree branch, a purple monstrous aura beginning to leak out of him.

On another branch a masked figure appeared, a blue frosty aura leaking out of her as well. As these two people appeared, Shamini found himself taking a breath. 'When did I stop breathing?!? Thank Kami for the Commanders!' He looked down towards his shaking hands and took a deep breath. 'There's nothing to fear from this monster! The commanders are here!'

The aura around the woman began to settle. "So I was right, Zabuza Momochi and Haku Yuki..." The Yamanaka Jonin stared at his masked commander. 'So her name is Haku?' The woman started speaking again, "Tell me Haku. Did you approve of this?" His mask commander didn't react, yet the woman's smile softened. "I see. In that case, you may survive."

Her gaze turned towards Commander Zabuza. "I have a question for your Zabuza Momochi. They call you the Demon of the Hidden Mist... so my question is, do you feel fear? Do you know fear?"

As the commander's mouth began to open behind his bandages, the woman moved. One moment she was on the ocean, and the next -

'Why am I falling? Why am I staring at my body?' "Because Zabuza Momochi, your Shinobi will know fear. They will feel fear."

Shamini, aged 23, Chunin of Kirigakure took his last breath, wondering why he could see his own body.

-Sasuke-

When nearly a hundred Shinobi had surrounded his Sensei, he had felt fear. Then, in the next moment, there was only one thing he could feel - awe.

How could anyone have that much Chakra? Chakra such that it blotted out the skies? That it changed the world around them? How could one have so much chakra that their mere presence could do such things? Most importantly... 'Could Itachi do that?'

Then, for a brief moment - he knew fear. If Itachi could do this as well, what else could he do? Sasuke's fist clenched as his Sharingan turned on. 'It's not enough! I need to get stronger!'

-Sakura-

As her Sensei stepped onto the ocean, she had first felt fear - but then there was nothing. Sakura's mind was blank as the Chakra crashed down around her. Distantly, she noted that the trees had begun to crack. 'Sensei... Could you really have lost to that Killer Bee?'

-Sai-

Unlike his comrades who were in awe, Sai's eyes were serious. 'Naruko-sama, who is this Haku?' His eyes trained on that masked figure. 'There aren't any reports of this person. But...' Staring at the icy-blue aura that shrouded the figure in response to Naruko-sama's chakra he couldn't help but stare. More specifically, at the ice that was slowly beginning to form on the tree branch he stood on. 'A Yuki? But I thought they were all dead! Most importantly, that aura... Could someone our age really be that strong without being a Jinchuriki?'

His fist tightened. 'Could someone our age... really have such chakra?'
