In the waning hours of his final day on Earth, Kairo found himself enveloped in a peculiar state of bliss—a serene calm that belied the tumultuous journey of his past. As memories cascaded through his mind like shards of shattered glass, he embraced each one with a sense of acceptance, knowing that they had all played a part in shaping the man he had become.
The betrayals, the heartaches, the searing pain of abandonment—all were but fleeting shadows in the grand tapestry of his existence, mere echoes of the emotions he had so eagerly sought to understand. And yet, amidst the chaos of his past, there lingered a solitary ache—a yearning for a love he had never known, a love that had eluded him in every corner of his tumultuous life.
As he faced the inevitable approach of death, Kairo found solace in the knowledge that he had experienced every emotion the world had to offer—every joy, every sorrow, every triumph, and every defeat. Except one.
The love of a woman.
In his final moments, as his heart faltered and his breath grew shallow, Kairo's lips curved into a faint smile—a silent testament to the peace he had found in the face of his own mortality. For even in death, he remained resolute, his quest for understanding unfulfilled yet strangely complete.
And so, as the veil of eternity beckoned, Kairo closed his eyes, ready to embrace the unknown with open arms, his spirit buoyed by the hope of a love yet undiscovered, a love that lingered just beyond the horizon of his consciousness, waiting to be awakened.
As time past .
In the hushed corridors of the orphanage, whispers danced like shadows, weaving tales of forgotten dreams and lost hopes. Amidst the murmurs of the sleeping souls, a figure stirred, his slumber interrupted by the faint echoes of distant memories.
"Mmm- . This feeling's, when was this before?" He asked himself.
" A feeling of being interrupted while sleeping? But what is this? Something's off. Ah-! I see." He understood the situation his in . " I'm a child again ." Pondered in excitement.
" I can't believe someone would leave this precious child in the doorway." – Social worker said.
" Also he was just 5 years old"
"Leaving this child in the orphanage doorway for others to pick it up, is better than those who throws their child in the river." The orphanage directress respond. " Also , he has something in his hand when you brought him inside, did you perhaps see what's in there , Ana?."
" Ah! Yes, directress, it was a piece of paper with a name 'Kairo' on it."
Ana is one of the orphanage social worker, aged between 40-50 but was younger than the orphanage directress. She is also the one that saw and brought the abandoned child inside the orphanage after she sees him outside , sleeping alone.
They all agree that the name of the child will be , " Kairo." Then the Directress added. " Since this child deserves better I shall add a name to him, he will be now ' Kairo Matthan' ."
Matthan stands for hope. Origin and means 'Gift or hope of the Lord. After that they now left the child to take a rest. As they leave, Kairo was thinking about his new name.
" Kairo Matthan, not bad . I'll be using that name from now on ."
He awoke to the soft rustle of sheets and the muted shuffling of feet, his mind awash with fragments of a past he could scarcely recall. With each passing moment, the fog of oblivion began to lift, revealing glimpses of a life long forgotten.
As the first light of dawn painted the room in hues of gold, Kairo's eyes fluttered open, his gaze wandering over the faces of those who shared his silent sanctuary. In the quiet stillness of the morning, he felt a stirring within his soul, a yearning to break free from the shackles of his past and embrace the promise of a new day.
With a steady resolve, Kairo rose from his bed, his heart pulsing with anticipation. For today marked the beginning of a journey—a journey fueled by the echoes of yesterday and the dreams of tomorrow. And as he took his first tentative step into the unknown, he knew that the path ahead would be fraught with challenges and uncertainties. But he also knew that within the depths of his being lay the power to forge his own destiny.
" A new start? I guess I have to do my my best this time." Excitement and thrilled with a lunatic smile filled him that day, as he proceed to say " I almost finished my goal last time, however, I wonder what's that one thing I'm longing for to feel."
Without a hint of what's the missing puzzle piece he was looking for, he pondered , and say.
" Nahhhhhh-! It's too much of a pain to think of it, I'll just go with the flow for now, besides, maybe later I'll figure it out."
With each heartbeat, Kairo embraced the dawn of a new chapter, ready to seize the opportunities that awaited him in the world beyond the orphanage walls.
Fast forward to Kairo Matthan's first day as junior high student.
As the first rays of dawn painted the sky in hues of gold, Kairo's mind buzzed with excitement, eager to embark on the journey that lay ahead. With each step he took, the weight of the past faded into the background, replaced by a sense of purpose and determination. At thirteen years old, Kairo found himself standing at the threshold of a new chapter in his life. With his memories from his past life as his guide, he set out on a quest to uncover the tools and resources needed to bring his dreams to life.
The orphanage, once his only refuge, now seemed to shrink in comparison to the vast expanse of possibilities that stretched out before him. Armed with unwavering resolve and a thirst for knowledge, Kairo ventured forth into the world, his heart ablaze with the promise of discovery.
" I guess I need to explore for now, there's a lot of resources that I need get my hands on. I wonder if I could go farther. Nevermind, I'll just go in places that I haven't been to, besides, it's still early . There's no way that I'll be late in my first day of school as a junior high student. Not to mention, I'm only able to explore this long when going to school and after that going back to the orphanage."
While he was speaking to himself , the people surrounds him think of him as a weird kid. That's not the case for Kairo, he was even in a pleasure for people thinking of him as a weird kid. With a grind smile in his face he proceed to walk.
As he navigated the bustling streets of the city, Kairo's senses were inundated with sights, sounds, and smells that were both exhilarating and overwhelming.
"Ugh~ I really needed the resources! I must make this device as fast as I can. I can't stand this dust allergy also an allergic contact dermatitis to fragrance. The heck!"
With each passing moment, he felt a growing sense of anticipation, knowing that every corner held the potential to unveil the secrets he sought.
" Thinking of secrets, maybe I should try to make the ban military device in my previous world , that can trap a soul in a small peace of chip, and can be connected to any device. That time they did not just fail from containing it, they also fail to prevent it from going rouge and started hacking and destroying their facilities. Hahaha!" He laughed like a lunatic while thinking of the military failures.
" Anyway, making a soul companion in a chip is not a bad idea either, I'll just make some improvements on the codes and everything will be alright… I guess. " Kairo is smiling weirdly again.
And so, with the dawn of a new day, Kairo's journey began—an odyssey fueled by the echoes of yesterday and the dreams of tomorrow. With each step forward, he moved closer to realizing his vision, his determination unwavering in the face of the unknown. For Kairo knew that the path ahead would be fraught with challenges and obstacles, but he also knew that within him lay the power to overcome them all.
