Luan fell to the ground at the same time he heard screams from behind the wall beside him and the door where he came from, opened, caughting him by surprise
Mattie run quickly towards the wall, with a expression of panic. Luan got up and Julian called as he was about to run the same way as her.
"Don't go, is dangerous."
Ignoring him, Luan went after Mattie, worried.
As he was running throught the empty classroom hallways what if felt like hours, he saw Mattie in a intersection of three sides, she was trapped by two monsters and even after fighting with her martial arts, they didn't seem to feel pain, so Luan did the only thing he could think of. Run towards the danger.
"Lucas? No, go away "
As she spoke, one the monsters, that lioked like a gorilla, cane towards the male and put him on the ground, with a paw on Luan's neck.
"LUCAS!" She screamed from far away.
Luan put his hands up to push the monster away and his arms light on fire, throwing the monster 10 feets away, before he blacjed out.
He woke up on a hospital bed abd Mattie was looking at him, worried.
"You are so dumb! Why did you use your oiwers without thinking? Especially when it was your first time."
"I just wanted to protect you." He said as he got up "I don't know what came over me. I just run towards them."
"Whatever! I am going to call the doctor to see if you can leave."
"Please do so." He said "I want to go out of here."
"Weirdo." Mattie said before getting out of the room.
He looked around, the tecnology was nothing like the past, now everything was controlled by magic somehow.
After a while, his master entered the room and sit beside him, with a smile on his face.
"I am happy that you overcome the fear of fire. I don't how you did it so quick, but I am proud."
"You don't say! Maybe is because I am not who you think I am." Luan thought to himself before laugh.
"Why are you laughing, dud I say something that entertained you?"
"No!" Luan said as he sit down with his backs straightened"You did not, master."
"Very well! I will leave you be. I just came to see if you were injured... But as I can see, you're not, so see you later Lucas."
"Yes, master! "Luan said while holding hid covers with strength"We will talk later."
Stuart didn't say anything else and leave the room, seconds before the nurse entered it.
"Are you feeling alright, mister Lucas Roger?"
"Wait! Can you repeat the name again?"
"Yes... Sure!?" The nurse said confused "Lucas Roger?
Luan immediately got up, took the stuff of his arms and run away without looking back, behind him was a worried nurse running after him.
"This can't be happening. I refuse to believe... No... No...No!"
He was scared for life, he only stopped when he went against Mattie, that was waiting for him outside, she wasnt surprised.
"I see what is happening. Follow me."
"As if you know!" He shouted, right as he heard police sirens " Fine! Lead the way."
She quickly run away from the sound and pull him inside a door, at the side of the hospital, covering his mouth. It was a room full of hospital stuff.
Seconds later, they heard foot steps right beside the door and they dressed some clothes that were on the ground.
"I can't believe I am doing this." He whisper, sad.
"Me neither!" She answered pushing him towards a fake wall. "We don't have much time."
"If there was a secret passage here, why did we have to dress up?"
"You will understand later." She said, joining him seconds later.
Quietly, they sit on the other side of the wall, while the door is put down and several people get inside, looking around.
Mattie searched for something, then got up and touched a small button on the ceiling, that made the wall whole again.
"Magic did really envolved!" He whisper.
"Magic?" She asked, in a whisper too, confused "This doesn't have anything to do with it."
Luan looked at her suspiciously and she only clap her own face, before grabbing his arm and touch in another button, that one being in the floor.
The floor open up and they fell on another room full of clothes. He looked up, sad and angry.
"Why are you reacting like that? It was just a little fall."
"I don't have good memories inside hospital clothes."
"I believe. Douglas isnt known for mercy."
"Oh, I assure assure you that its true. I still remember everything."
"It must be hard... Living to die again... without forgetting anything."
"It has its ups and downs. But this time it will be different."
"I will help you this life. Douglas is my old master. I leave when I found about his plans."
Luan was a little worried, sure that she was helping him, but knowing that she worked with his brother before, leaved a bitter taste under the tongue, was she trustfull?
"Do you work for him?" Luan asked, walking towards the door"He wouldn't tell my life to just anybody."
"I used to. But then master Stuart and Lucas found me and I am grateful for that."
Luan felt bad, Lucas sounded like a fun guy, except for being lazy.
In the memories he collected from that body, Lucas had a pure heart.
"We need to move on. They will find us."
"I have a plan!" Luan said looking towards her "Do you know how to get to the convenience store,where we were attack?"
"Yes, why?"
"Let's free the traitor."
Mattie froze in place for a moment, before walking angrily towards Luan and punched him on the face.
"Are you out of your mind? He is one of Douglas bodyguards!"
"What?!" Luan shouted, before covering his mouth. The he spoke more quietly"You must be joking, right?"
"No, I am not!" She said with a straight face.
