Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: End of another circle

Countless years ago, in a place unknown to mankind, the soil was soaked red like pigment. Blood flowed like a stream, and corpses littered the ground like plants in a garden. Weapons were strewn about like decorations in a palace. Men and women lay in pieces like shattered statues in a museum. Any whose corpses were torn in two died a decent death compared to the others. It was clear this was not the realm of man, as evidenced by the corpses bearing bat-like wings, claws, hooves, curved hind legs, or overly long limbs. Their fangs replaced their canine teeth entirely.

Anyone with knowledge of other species would recognize this as a demon battlefield. Yet the blue-colored sun and the eight moons in the sky revealed that this was not a planet within the demon solar system. In this unique environment, a group of 21 devils stood surrounded by 89 other devils. Forming an even larger circle around them was an army of 3,854 demons. All participants of this war were exhausted, worn out after a week of constant fighting with little to no respite. War waited for no one, let alone during an ambush.

At the onset of this battle, there were 21 devils and 1,000 demons facing off against 147 devils and 6,000 demons. The reason? The death of the leader of the 21 devils was desired. Many might wonder about the difference between a devil and a demon. However, such a question would earn the asker the wrath of any devil who overheard it. The inquirer would do well to be stronger than the devil or to flee—otherwise, their soul and bloodline would find no peace after death.

Demons were considered the bastard children and half-breeds of devils, their bloodlines unstable and unpurified. Only by stabilizing their bloodline through various modifications, mastering the seven sins, and earning fear and respect within the demon solar system could a demon earn the title of "devil." In ancient times, demons were treated as little more than beasts—slaves and lab rats for devil experiments. Terrifying demon species, capable of inducing terror across other realms, were often the results of these experiments. To demons, being a lab rat was considered a great honor, given their lowly status.

The disparity was evident. When a devil was consumed by rage, they became a cold and rational killing machine, focused solely on annihilating their target—a state called "Target Annihilation Mode." In contrast, a demon consumed by rage would lose 90% of their sanity. Similarly, a devil overtaken by envy would enter "Protective Fortress Mode," guarding the object of their envy until their life was at stake. A demon, however, would succumb to "Untamed Mode," driven to destroy the object of their envy. These contrasts extended across all seven sins, the pride of devils.

This stark difference kept demons subjugated until a demon scientist, Douglas Sterling, sought to end their suffering. He re-engineered their personalities, with arrogance as the base, so they would never be consumed by any sin except rage. Special demons, like succubi, retained access to sins resonant with their species. This advancement elevated demons from slaves to vassals of devils. Yet, it came at a cost: demons without access to sins were often dullards. Only a select few were geniuses. Over time, these flaws were mitigated, and demons grew in intelligence, ranking above beasts but still below higher races like devils.

In the midst of the 21 devils, a white-haired devil stood, covered in blood—most of it not his own. Any blood daring to stain his white hair was instantly devoured by it. Four short, elegant horns adorned his forehead like a crown. His crimson-red irises resembled condensed blood, his gentle smile belied by the cold indifference in his eyes. His aura was vast as the starry sky. Each of his four hands wielded a unique saber—vastly different in length and breadth, yet undeniably a set. Each was powerful enough to serve as a lifelong weapon for any true devil, but this devil wielded all four with ease. Life was unfair, and Marcus Azaroth knew it well. Funnily if the life was ever to reply it would ave said " I never pretend to be fair " but from another point if life is actually unfair to everyone doesn't that means it actually fair.

Known by many names—the Great Contractor, the Conqueror, the Greedy One, the Crimson Wraith, the Greatest Scammer, the Bastard Thief—Marcus had spent centuries earning his titles. Now, he surveyed the battlefield littered with the corpses of his army. These devils, his children and descendants, had been raised and trained with his power, resources, and even his heart blood. No female had entered his heart, refined as it was by slaughter and betrayal.

Despite their injuries, his children's auras burned fiercely. Mordred had lost function of half her body while Elena remained spotless, not due to weakness but her terrifying all-round capabilities. Marcus turned his gaze to his opponents. Of the six he began with, only three remained. Two were in good shape; the third had lost an arm and a leg, he should have been dissected but seem like luck was on his side or you could also say hell wanted him to suffer at least once more. Their auras were formidable, yet markedly inferior to his. This disparity—a result of his Devourer's Physique, which absorbed the cultivation of others and devoured mana during battle— which was why Marcus was so feared and hunted.

One of his opponents, Anna, was a fiery-haired succubus whose beauty rivaled any mortal's imagination, even immortals found her a piece of art. She spoke, "Marcus, please stop this senseless slaughter. Even if you survive, the Devil Monarch and the deities won't let you live long. Let's have a bargain: we'll take care of your descendants when you're gone. I swear by my true name they'll be safe. I will treat them as my own blood"

[A deal has been offered. Do you wish to establish a contract?]

Ignoring the notification, Marcus replied, "I see my children winning this battle at an acceptable cost. if I take you three with me to the afterlife, why should I accept your deal? Bringing friends to join me seems only gentlemanly. How can you guy bear to set me on such a lonely journey. Sure you jest on not accompanying me freinds "

Fin, a devil with a wrathful demon bloodline, one with a tan, buffed and muscular physique, he would have pass for a lady charmer if an arm and leg where not missing. Fin spat, "Don't you care for so called your children? We could end this now, we don't even know if we would survive this curesd planet. Do you have no love for the demon race?"

Marcus laughed. "I care not for the demon race. My children have no fear of death. Look into their eyes. Fearless, even now, unlike your shivering descendants. Surely you have grown weak your method soft and your zeal soil by the fragrance of power. Bargain with them, not me."

Beersheba, a devil encased in a sleek blue-black battle suit, opened her helmet in respect, letting are face sculpted by the divine visible are blue eyes where more than enough to stop you from searching for anything else . Judging by the way hee battle suit pulse she was definitely from the famed Devil mechanic bloodline. "Elena, as your father's heart, make the decision. I'll fight Marcus until death." She closed her helmet and took a battle stance. Marcus mirrored her, while his children followed suit. All except Elena.

The slim, obsidian-haired deviless walked gracefully to Marcus and whispered, "Father, we have foresaw this day and I'ave made preparation for us all only Your plan is in it infancy but it will suffice."

Satisfied, Marcus smiled a deadly smirk. His children roared with bloodthirsty joy. Fin, driven by is emotions frenzied is energy yet if he was sane he would have nothing a subtle stain one left by the touch by no one else but a daughter of lilith, busrt first to attack Marcus followed by Beersheba and Anna while Marcus shifted to a defensive stance, defensive it is but the number of heads it had taken might just be enough to rebuild the pyramid of giza. As their blade contacted and the bizarre beheading of fin occurred . Fins devils heart went berserk creating a massive , perception distorting explosion ,just When it look life the planet it self was going to fracture, the smoke cleared , Marcus's body was gone. Only a wrecked 12-meter mecha remained, one which if it move it would be a miracle equalvalent to the summoning of the holy grail

In the realm of souls, Marcus's damaged soul floated. Pulled in multiple directions, but he he followed the strongest pull all other were either decoys or traps , arriving at a nurturing flower containing a white-haired male body.he immediately Begin the possession process, Arriving at a point in the darkness where there was a little hole the attraction was coming from the other side entering he found the body of a white hair male being nurtured in a flower. This was the clone prepared for him, wasting no time he began the possession unfortunately his vessel could not handle his soul so he did what any sane

person would never do, he began to expell all memories he find of lesser

important to the flower while he used what was left to continue his

possession.

[Warning: content of soul is being lost if not regained unexpected damage

may be incurred] any time his vessel could not go on he expelled

memories to the flowers until he succeeded then he manipulated the

flower to Release him.

[Warning: physical body is heavily flawed. Half of the mana circuit has not

been created while the other half requires strengthing.]

[Warning: your physical body requires nourishing. At this point only half of

the standard capability can be utilized]

[vitality would have to be consumed permanently for all repairs]

[Amount of vitality consumed will leave system offline after repairs are

made]

It was at this point that he found the issues he was warned of by someone he had forgotten the body was to weak while the mana circuit was not completed, he had no choice but to sacrifice his vitality to correct this but looking at the flower behind him, he had to cultivate it first since all his lost memories were stored in there, and it was his only way of regaining them not to mention that it was very likely to become a sinister plant type beast if left alone, after all part of the memory of a true devil is enough to corrupt even an angel. Drawing a formation around the flower while using the mana crystal hidden beside the root for power source. The flower was refined into a small grey flower with little spots of black and red, la foliae was it name. Now that the flower is done, looking at his two meter tall body with strength less than of a nine years old he sat in a lotus position.while he consumed vitality to correct the flaws in his body thankfully this body had not been unsealed or else it would have been grave. When he was done the white haired man was no more only a white haired toddler with a rumbling belly remain left to fend for himself in an unfair world. Would he be devour in the currents of time of will he devour

others.
