There is a saying that everyone in the Uchiha clan is a lunatic. Kakashi used to disbelieve this, thinking it was just a slander against them. After all, Obito, despite being a bit foolish, seemed quite normal. But now, this guy is also somewhat off.
An average person would at most put the opponent's name or photo on a training dummy, but who would go to such lengths?
Remembering that Obito considered him his best friend, Kakashi shuddered and felt a bit nauseous. This friendship is too heavy...
Not long after, Kakashi, who was secretly following from a tree, saw Obito walk into the depths of a small forest and stop under a crooked tree with a rope hanging from it.
First, he looked around to make sure no one was there, and then he used the rope to hang the dummy.
Next, Obito threw away his crutch, stood with difficulty, and started warming up.
This guy was injured yesterday, and today, is he training again?
Hiding in the tree, Kakashi raised an eyebrow in amazement:
Indeed, there's a reason why Obito has recently become more muscular and even managed to defeat Hyuga. Besides the guidance of that sealing jutsu sensei, his efforts are indispensable.
Then Kakashi realised that the dummy was indeed just used as a training target, not for anything weird.
This finally let him breathe a sigh of relief.
And judging by the rope left on the tree, Obito had been training here for a while.
Thinking of Obito's childish plan to defeat him so he could stay in school, Kakashi felt complicated.
This idiot...
Going to such lengths for unnecessary feelings...
Even though the ninja code's twenty-fifth rule states that ninjas should never show emotions under any circumstances...
But then Kakashi thought:
Yet Obito did get more potent because of this...
Could the ninja code be partially correct?
Then maybe the man who broke the rules, perhaps...
Kakashi shook his head sharply, dispelling various thoughts from his mind, and his eyes turned cold again. But this time, there was a spark of battle in the depths of his eyes.
Ultimately, ninjas have to rely on strength to speak.
Since Obito wants to defeat him, that's fine. Let's be tied to emotions, or someone who abandons all emotions is stronger!
Kakashi's fighting spirit surged, finally taking Obito's challenge seriously, seeing him as an equal opponent.
Honestly, he couldn't wait for the day he would fight Obito.
Soon, Obito finished warming up and limped to the Kakashi dummy hanging in mid-air.
Seeing Obito about to start training seriously, Kakashi prepared to leave.
Although spying on an opponent is typical for ninjas if caught, it's just a fault of their lack of skills, not blame on the opponent for cheating.
But Kakashi now saw Obito as a worthy opponent for a fair fight.
Since he wouldn't lose anyway, continuing to watch would only taint their future battle.
So, Kakashi turned to leave quietly.
Just then, he heard Obito's loud voice from behind:
"Konoha Secret Taijutsu Ultimate..."
"!?"
The familiar words made Kakashi instinctively turn his head, and then he saw a shocking scene.
Obito formed the tiger seal with both hands and fiercely stabbed from behind the Kakashi dummy!
"Thousand-Year Death!!!"
Seeing the dummy that looked like him suffer a Thousand-Year Death from Obito, Kakashi couldn't help but clench his buttocks, his face turning terribly dark and his teeth grinding.
What the hell is Obito practising with my dummy!?
...
The scene shifts to noon of that day.
Obito and Guy took advantage of the lunch break to visit the Sealing Jutsu Office to ask Natsuhiko Sensei about new tactical arrangements and why Guy was told to reveal the challenge.
Halfway, they were intercepted by sensei, who had anticipated their arrival and led them to the rooftop.
"Information is the lifeblood of a ninja."
Natsuhiko began with his favourite phrase.
"Originally, according to my plan, by the end of the term, Obito, you should barely be able to use Dark Taijutsu once as a trump card to defeat Kakashi."
"However, on a whim, you exposed this trump card to Kakashi during a sparring session."
"With Kakashi now aware, the effectiveness of this move is greatly reduced."
"Not to mention you're injured, so who knows if you can fully master this move in time."
"So, I have to adjust the plan slightly."
Obito felt deeply ashamed.
It turns out the sensei had everything planned out, but he messed it up to show off.
Guy curiously asked:
"sensei, what's the new plan?"
Natsuhiko explained with a smile:
"Although hiding information for an initial surprise attack might be hard to pull off now."
"A ninja can also create false information to confuse the opponent."
"For example, a ninja proficient in wind and water jutsu might create an image of only being good at wind jutsu. When someone uses fire jutsu against them, they surprise them with water jutsu."
"If Kakashi fights Obito now, he'll be very wary of your Dark Taijutsu, so we need a more eye-catching move to divert his attention, creating an opportunity."
"Announcing your challenge to him is the first step to attracting his attention."
"Then comes the second step..."
Yama's expression turned serious: "Next, I'll teach you a forbidden jutsu. You two must not tell anyone that I taught you, not even members of the research group or Kushina."
Obito and Guy nodded firmly after exchanging glances, feeling both nervous and excited.
When Natsuhiko taught them Dark Taijutsu, he wasn't this solemn, nor did he label it as "forbidden".
Guy even wondered: Could this be a forbidden jutsu on par with Dad's Eight Gates?
To some extent, Guy wasn't wrong.
One involves physical death as a price, the other social death.
Because Yama then said:
"I'm going to teach you the jutsu created by Konoha's White Fang, Konoha Secret Taijutsu Ultimate: Thousand-Year Death."
