Chapter 1 - Natsuhiko Amou

Konoha, September 1, 1942.

In the morning ; it started raining steadily.

In the rain and mist, the Hokage faces on the distant cliffs seemed to be veiled in a white haze, faintly discernible.

There were not many pedestrians on the streets, but each face carried hope and vitality.

It had been two years since the end of the Second Shinobi World War, and people were gradually burying the pain of war deep within themselves, preparing to embrace the arrival of a new life.

"Haven't been back in a few years; it looks like the village has recovered well."

A young man, casually strolling down the street in a black ninja outfit, held a string of tri coloured balls while walking and eating.

He appeared to be only fifteen or sixteen, with dishevelled silver curly hair, delicate features, and a hint of laziness. On his forehead, he wore a headband symbolising his status as a Konoha Ninja.

Although he didn't have an umbrella, there were no signs of him being wet from the rain, adding a touch of mystery to his appearance.

The young man's name was Natsuhiko Amou, recently promoted to Special-Jonin. Due to a mission, he had been away from Konoha for a long time.

This time,he carried an important mission on his shoulders upon his return: to serve as the Sealing Jutsu sensei for the new semester at the Academy.

"Didn't expect it to go so smoothly. I just submitted the application not long ago, and the transfer documents came in. No need for an interview either."

Natsuhiko was in a good mood, humming a song lightly as he walked, his steps unusually brisk.

In the past, he had applied for this position several times, but the Academy had rejected him each time, citing his age as too young.

Natsuhiko was not pleased with this.

Children as young as five could be on the battlefield, so what was wrong with being a sensei at sixteen?

He knew that his achievement as a Special-Jonin was due to his proficiency in Sealing Jutsu.

This time, he finally succeeded, indicating that the village had finally recognized his strength.

Thinking about this, Natsuhiko couldn't help but smile self-deprecatingly.

Perhaps in the eyes of many, becoming a Special-Jonin at sixteen made him the "Star of Tomorrow" in Konoha.

But Natsuhiko knew better.

Compared to those Genin at the age of three, Jonin at five, or achieving Six Paths at less than ten, not to mention the transmigrator seniors who made Kaguya take maternity leave, his achievements seemed not worth mentioning.

Even the protagonist Uzumaki Naruto from the original work became a Six Paths expert at just sixteen.

People are indeed different.

Oh!

Who made him a transmigrator without cheats, without special bloodlines, with mediocre innate talent?

To be honest, Natsuhiko becoming a Special-Jonin now was already an extraordinary performance.

When he was at the Academy, he even considered dropping out to become a ramen apprentice, which would at least allow him to survive until the Grand Finale.

His current strength was thanks to good luck, or should I say being assigned to the sealing class after graduation.

Sealing Jutsu is a unique Ninjutsu that uses rune techniques to restrict an opponent's chakra, block their movements, and even compress objects.

Sealing Jutsu may not be as flashy as ordinary Ninjutsu or Genjutsu in the original work, but each time it appeared, it played a crucial role.

From the curse-seal on Sasuke to Kakashi's Evil Sealing Method, from Orochimaru's Five-Elements Seal to Jiraiya's Five Elements unsealing.

There were also Tsunade's Yin Seal, various seals of Jinchuriki, and even the seal of Otsutsuki Kaguya, the mother of the Sage of Six Paths.

Natsuhiko's journey in learning Sealing Jutsu began with a book called "Introduction to Sealing Jutsu." This book, authored by Sealing Jutsu Master Uzumaki Mito, was a teaching material written when the Academy was first established.

It provided detailed annotations for various basic runes used in Sealing Jutsu, making it suitable for beginners.

Starting from the fundamental runes of Yin and Yang, to the Five Elements corresponding to basic Chakra Attributes: Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning.

Then various functional runes: open, close, branch, loop, jump, choose, add, subtract, multiply, divide, input, output, up, down, left, right, east, south, west, north, centre, release, white...

Each rune had different writings in different sects, and various deformations were made based on specific purposes.

And this was already the simplified and organised version by Lady Mito.

It's easy to see that Sealing Jutsu is somewhat similar to mathematics.

Even if one is in a hurry, they won't understand what they don't understand.

However, when Natsuhiko learned Sealing Jutsu, he felt like a fish back in water.

In his previous life as a programmer, he quickly realised that these runes were very similar to something he was familiar with.

That something was... computer programming languages!

Moreover, it was a high-level language with a standard library.

To verify his idea, after learning the basic runes, Natsuhiko created a small invention.

A rune scroll created following the logic of programming.

Its function was very simple.

When Natsuhiko input chakra, a line of text would appear in the central blank box of the scroll.

\[Hello World\]

As if greeting the arrival of the New World.

Natsuhiko's idea was correct!

These runes were not just tools for casting Sealing Jutsu; they were a programming language for chakra.

This revelation made Natsuhiko think back to the records in the "Introduction to Sealing Jutsu" about the inheritance of Sealing Jutsu from the Sage of Six Paths. Combining it with the plot of the original work he had seen...

Suddenly, like touching a live wire, a flash of lightning crossed his mind!

Previously, Natsuhiko couldn't understand what Kaguya brought to the Ninja World, what Indra invented with hand seals, and what the legendary Sage of Six Paths taught everyone about the truth of chakra.

Now he understood.

It was the Sealing Jutsu rune.

Perhaps when the Sage of Six Paths elucidated the truth of chakra to the world, he was actually teaching everyone how to program chakra through runes.

Perhaps the so-called shinobi creed was actually a programming training institution.

So, when the Sage of Six Paths wanted to connect everyone through chakra, maybe he was building a system like the internet!

Putting it that way, the Sage of Six Paths was actually a fellow programmer?

Natsuhiko felt like his thinking about Sealing Jutsu had been shattered, and countless sparks of inspiration erupted in his mind.

With his imagination running wild, he quickly had a bold idea.

Perhaps he could use this chakra programming language to create his own system!

No system cheats?

Then he would code one for himself!

For a moment, Natsuhiko felt that life was full of hope again.

Unfortunately, ideals are abundant, but reality is skinny.

Creating a chakra-based system turned out to be ten times more difficult than Natsuhiko imagined.

Although the rune language based on chakra and the computer language based on electronic components were similar, there were many differences in detail, and they couldn't be directly transplanted.

Moreover, the rune language had been passed down from the time of the Sage of Six Paths, enduring for thousands of years, resulting in many missing and erroneous parts.

Natsuhiko was like someone self-studying a C language textbook that was incomplete and full of errors. Many aspects had to be explored slowly on his own.

In the days that followed, he either executed various missions across the Land of Fire or collected Sealing Jutsu information, or he stayed at home studying, integrating the knowledge from two lifetimes.

Now, six years had passed.

After several iterations, Natsuhiko used chakra-conducting metal purchased with his savings to finally shrink the prototype, originally the size of a small mountain, into a fist-sized chakra metal ball.

Using this as a carrier, he reluctantly built a simple system.

The most significant feature of this chakra-based system was its ability to interact with humans directly through chakra.

Skipping the keyboard and mouse setup.

Similar to the SmartBrain or brain chips seen in science fiction movies.

However, Natsuhiko didn't dare to stuff the fist-sized metal ball into his brain; instead, he sealed it in his abdomen.

In theory, he was a chakra SmartBrain.

Natsuhiko had just completed this "chakra SmartBrain," containing only a few programs, but it was still a million miles away from what he had imagined.

However, at this point, he felt he had reached a bottleneck.

To continue upgrading the system, he needed to master more Sealing Jutsu runes and earn funds to purchase rare materials.

Returning to Konoha as the Sealing Jutsu sensei this time was Natsuhiko's first step in solving these problems.

Yes, Natsuhiko wanted to become a sensei not to educate, but for the books in the Academy's library.

When the Academy was established, major ninja clans donated many books under the name of the First Hokage. Now, these books are still in the Academy's library.

Although there wasn't much valuable stuff, mostly outdated and obscure Ninjutsu Scrolls or miscellaneous records and travelogues written by predecessors.

For most people, it might be nothing special, but for Natsuhiko, it was an untapped treasure trove.

Because runes and the ancient writings of the Ninja World shared many similarities, he couldn't be sure which book would inspire him to reconstruct the lost runes.

Not to mention that the library also held Sealing Jutsu ancient books donated by Lady Mito on behalf of the Uzumaki Clan, treasures that only a few sensei could read.

Therefore, even though Natsuhiko knew that being a sensei in this world was a high-risk profession, he decided to become an honourable sensei.

"I hope the books in the library won't disappoint me."

Muttering to himself, Natsuhiko casually threw the finished bamboo skewer into the roadside trash bin and headed towards the Academy.

Today happened to be the first day of the new semester at the Academy.
