"Ah~~ Each and every one of them... they're complete monsters~~" Kizaru remarked as he watched the livestream showing the wave of purple crystal formations covering most of the Lodestar Island and the appearance of a massive bullet-like creature on the island.
Although he kept calling them monsters, his expression showed no sign of worry. After all, creatures of such size and mass would have immense strength but inevitably sacrifice speed. And for someone like him, slow-moving enemies are hardly a threat. Of course, capturing or defeating them would still be a challenge.
"Wow, what terrifying monsters! Even more exaggerated than my own powers!" exclaimed Aramaki, who had been dispatched by the World Government, as he stared in shock at the enormous figure rising in the center of the island. His comment caught the attention of several nearby marines.
"A fusion ability, huh? Truly a headache in war situations," remarked Vice Admiral Tsuru as she briefly glanced at Aramaki before focusing on the expanding wave of purple crystals in the broadcast.
On Lodestar Island, the tsunami-like purple crystal wave engulfed everything inorganic in its path. After submerging the port's buildings, the wave surged towards the pirate ships docked at the temporary port. Pirates left aboard initially felt relieved, thinking they were safe at sea, but when they saw the tentacle-like crystal formations reaching for their ships, they immediately abandoned ship and jumped into the water.
Anyone with common sense could tell that being caught in that wave meant certain injury or death.
Splash! Splash!
The sound of bodies hitting the water echoed across the sea as pirates frantically jumped overboard.
Once in the water, the pirates looked back at the island, only to see the crystal wave devouring their ships and retracting toward the center of the island. The once crowded shoreline was now void of ships—all had become part of Bullet's fusion material.
"That's Bullet's ability... truly insane!" remarked the crew aboard the Moby Dick as they watched the colossal form taking shape on the island.
"What a monster," Jozu commented gravely, watching as Bullet's gigantic form emerged on Lodestar Island. During his adventures with the Whitebeard Pirates, he had encountered many monsters of the sea, but few were as massive as this one—only the elephant Zunesha, slain by Nicholas, could compare.
As countless eyes watched, the gathered purple crystals rapidly coalesced into a giant humanoid figure with arms and a head, its lower half formed from the entire island itself. The creature's exposed upper body alone towered over a kilometer high, its menacing appearance leaving onlookers stunned.
ROAR!
The giant Bullet form, with a head resembling Bulett's, roared menacingly at Nicholas and the others.
In the broadcast room, Festa panted heavily, his eyes bloodshot from the effects of the Conqueror's Haki. The aftershock had left him with a splitting headache, veins bulging on his forehead. But when he saw the nearly screen-filling image of Bullet's giant form, a manic grin spread across his face.
"Magnificent! Absolutely magnificent! Bulett, you're truly an incredible man…"
"Bulett!"
"I bet everything on you, and it paid off! Roger may have started the Great Pirate Era and created the greatest spectacle, but today, I will surpass Roger!"
With fists clenched in the air, Festa's voice echoed through the broadcast room with a hint of madness.
Click
The sound of a door opening suddenly echoed in the room.
Festa tensed up, instinctively drawing his flintlock and firing toward the source of the noise without even looking.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Flames burst from the muzzle as smoke filled the air, and the bullets struck the wall.
Festa was puzzled—how could the wall have made a door-opening sound? Then, the wall was pushed open from the inside.
Several figures in white cloaks and special masks emerged from the door.
"Filthy lower creatures," the woman leading the group said disdainfully, eyeing Festa, who still had his gun raised.
"Who are you…?" Festa stammered, recognizing the distinctive masks and white robes. "CPO!"
"Correct, but no prize for guessing right," came a playful voice from inside the room.
As the voice trailed off, a tall, lean man wearing a leopard mask, with a pigeon dressed in a tuxedo perched on his shoulder, stepped out.
The group filed into the broadcast room, and the man in the leopard mask glanced at the screens showing the underworld figures. As his gaze swept across them, the screens went dark one by one—evidently, none of these underground bosses wanted to be involved with CP0.
Once all the screens went black, the masked man turned to Festa, speaking coldly, "You've really stirred up quite the trouble, Buena Festa."
"What do you want!?" Festa shouted, taking a step back in fear as he eyed the CP0 agents warily.
Festa was well aware of his position—if it came down to strength alone, he was nothing more than a weakling in the New World, easily defeated by pirates with bounties over a hundred million. Let alone these agents of CP0; he stood no chance against them.
"Hand over the Eternal Pose, and we'll make your end quick."
At the mention of the Eternal Pose, Festa's face darkened. Then, any trace of fear he had vanished, replaced by crazed laughter. "You want the Eternal Pose? Dream on, hahahaha!"
"If you give it willingly, it won't hurt as much."
The CP0 agent's voice grew colder in response.
Festa sneered, "Until this festival ends, no one's getting the Eternal Pose from me!"
"It's a shame you've chosen this path, but so be it."
At those words, two CP0 agents vanished from sight, reappearing instantly to restrain Festa. The lead agent walked toward him with measured steps.
Torture and interrogation were routine skills for CP0.
Soon, screams echoed through the broadcast room.
Festa knew full well that there was no Eternal Pose in his possession. Admitting it would seal his fate, so he chose to take the secret to his grave. This unprecedented festival would be his perfect send-off!
