Honestly, I'm scared. This is a lot. But it's time to push all the negative feelings aside. Things have gotten real and there's no time to cry.
Mika leans forward, her expression serious but calm.
"Zayn, you need to tell your parents about this. They're Chris's parents too, and they deserve to know what's happening to him. We might need their support to deal with Price and protect your family."
Zayn immediately shakes his head. I knew he wouldn't want to. I thought of raising it up earlier, but I got afraid of this reaction he's giving right now. I knew it. I was dreading it.
"No way. That's not an option. My parents don't need to be dragged into this."
I step closer to Zayn, meeting his defiant gaze.
"Zayn, I know this isn't easy, but it's necessary. Chris is their son. If Price is targeting him—and maybe even the rest of your family—they need to know what's going on."
Zayn scoffs, running a hand through his hair.
