Zayn sighs deeply, glancing at me as if he can sense the turmoil bubbling beneath my calm facade.
"Kattie, you don't have to worry about Lana."
He starts, his tone attempting to reassure.
"She's just frustrated, and I understand why. But I see through her games. Hailey is my daughter, and I'll always prioritize her, but I'm not blind to what Lana's doing."
I lean back on the couch, crossing my arms as I let out a bitter laugh.
"Zayn, you say that now, but it's different when she starts pulling you into her web. Don't you see? She's using Hailey as an excuse to get closer to you, and if she's aligning with Price, that's a whole other storm we can't ignore."
He raises his hands, frustration evident on his face.
"I know that! I see what she's trying to do. But I've handled Lana before, Kattie, and I'll handle her again. I'm not letting her control my life, and I'm not letting her interfere with what we have."
