Zayn's voice cuts through the room with an uncharacteristic firmness.
"Lana." He says.
"There's no way we're naming the baby after you."
Her smile falters, and she stares at him, clearly not expecting the pushback. She should burn!
"Excuse me?"
She says, crossing her arms, her tone sharp.
"I think I have every right to name my own daughter."
Zayn sighs, holding his ground but softening his tone.
"This isn't just about you, Lana. Our daughter deserves a name that reflects more than...well, more than just one side of things."
I can see her frustration growing, her cheeks turning pink as she glares at him. I don't like this baby named after Lana as well. It would be a total nightmare for me.
"Are you saying my name isn't good enough?"
"It's not that, Lana."
He glances over at me, then back at her.
"We'll figure out something that feels right to both of us."
